Is is cold in here..or is it just me??

Not a lot of snow {yet} but really c.o.l.d. Cars were slipping all over the road...

photo from a flickr thingy - not mine..

I'm always afraid of slipping (read: falling) ..

Maybe it was the time when my daughter Brandi and I were in Park City prior to moving to Utah..

We were out here looking for a house.............in Salt Lake...........Park City is where the rich & famous live..not the mediocre and infamous......

not that the people of Salt Lake are either mediocre OR infamous.....uh....just moi..just to be clear...

Anyway, were were coming out of Denny's (free dinner for my daughter's birthday..wonder if they still do that?)

....when I fell in the snow-ice-freezy-dangerous-filled parking lot..much to Brandi's embarrassment.

But wait..it gets better.

I got to laughing..and she got to laughing..and it was slippery and I couldn't get my footing..

..so I'm kinda wallowing and slipping and laughing..and people are going to their cars..looking..and smiling..and staring..and...

I giggled so much that I...uh...well, after having a lot of water with dinner...I ..I ..

Yes.. I did. And when I did, because of the cold and the snow, STEAM started rising..

And somehow, despite my embarrassment {and Brandi's horror} I kept laughing..and steam kept rising...

And a nice gentleman came over and asked if I needed help.....which we both thought was soo hilarious..I couldn't talk.just kept laughing and shaking my head "no"...I'm pretty certain he thought I was either crazy...or drunk..

Finally Brandi gave me a hand and I took my now-near-frozen self and drove back to the hotel..

Maybe those Depends commercials need me for a 'spokes-model'..

Can totally relate to this and laughed my butt off! It's good to be able to laugh at oneself, especially when others are staring.

LOL!! You crack me up!!

It is cold cold here. My dogs even make
a mad dash out to pee... I have never seen
them combat pee like that until we moved
to Germany. LOL!

So much better to laugh at yourself than get angry and cry. Good for you!

Cold and snow here. And only 34 degrees at 11AM. Yikes!

I too am afraid of falling!!! Big time afraid. We have not been out today, so have no idea what traveling is like.

I love the "steam rising" part of your story! Understood. Completely understood. Must - prepare - for - such - happenings - when - going - out - in - world. Meaning, those wee little pad things. -grinnnnnnnnnnn-

I've got one of those pee stories too! LOL I love having things to look back on and laugh about. I had a good laugh at work on Friday. It sure felt good to laugh so hard you cry!

Colleen, that is too, too, funny. Yes, it was the steam part that got me as well. Your candor is refreshing!

It's a good thing I had bladder surgery last year or I wouldn't have been able to sit in my computer chair until it dried out! Too funny! Laurie and Chris got stuck trying to cross their street because of ice. She finally took her shoes off. Her socks stuck to the ice so she could get home!

This was my good laugh for the day. I had the same thing happen to me one summer. A friend, my mother and me were out gathering rocks for my mom and I got tickled then needed to go but it was toooo late. Before you know I was soping wet. I never lived that down with my friend. Made me relive it all again.

Oh, dear, dear Colleen! WHEN am I going to learn not to drink coffee while reading your blog. How does one even clean coffee spots off a computer screen? Much more of you and coffee and I am not going to even be able to see anything on the screen.

The STEAM!

You are my role model. I want to learn how to laugh when the steam is rising. Much love to you, dear friend!
