And..you'd be wrong. OK, maybe a little right. I am feeling better, thankyouverymuch.
But that's not what I'm talking about here..
It's me. Moi. Your truly.. At Temple Square. While with a work group. In the snow. Did I mention...ice? And slippage?
One second I was walking...carefully, and smiling...not a care in the world..the next, I was looking very closely at the ice-covered sidewalk..
Hmm...yep, all a-hundred-and-plenty pounds of me had hit the pavement so fast and quietly {that's the good thing about ice..it's pretty quiet..} that I really was kinda surprised.
So were the people around me..
Walked a few yards and....WHOMP! Down again..And because I am an equal-owie employee..I hit the right hip.
Owie2..
By this time, I was still several yards away from safety {Jillian's car} so I was now completely paranoid..walking in teensy baby steps, my mind racing to figure out what I should fall on next..
"OK, both hips and sides..hmm..that leaves either a face-plant or a back-bum-bump..".
Well, I actually made it to her car and was transported safely back to the office.
So much for a Tuesday...I'm thinking Wednesday's gotta be better..
..a little stiffer...but better.
So, remember when you travel in snow..slow down..leave plenty of room between you and the other
Gee, I love winter..

Ouch!!! double ouch! don't cha just hate that. And I'm moving into my new house tomorrow and it's snowing like mad outside. But you know I would crawl up that mountain to get it done, and I just might have to. Put the heating pad on take a pill and have some fun will ya? Love, Pearl
You poor thing, you know it's going to hurt tomorrow. Were you wearing your rubbers!!!
Ooops...that darn ice...maybe you should (pardon the pun) "ice" it?
While you were down you should have done the angel wings thing in the snow. Sure purty there though.
Lucky you didn't break anything. Take care. You know how they have snow tyres for cars maybe they should have snow soles for your shoes.
Glad you're ok....stupid ice anyway. LOVE the *pigeon* cartoon. You find the funnest stuff to share. Suppose to storm again today. Stay inside!
aww, i hope you didn't cry in the ladies room. i fell twice during our blizzard too! thankfully both times was on my butt, but it was still a horrible feeling. i fell off my front porch, lol. yep, the snow was so deep that i couldn't tell where the porch ended and fell off twice. two days in a row :(
You sure have a way with words. Just glad you didn't break a hip. Loved the cartoon and I hope you have a wonderful New Year.
Hugs, Pat
Oh dear heavens! Good advice, but
t.w.i.c.e.! Hope that the bruises aren't too bad. I've got to remember your line..."Hundred pounds and plenty." It can be my comeback answer for anyone unlucky enough to ask me my weight. The nerve of some folks!
Ohmygoodness Colleen!!! You'd better be careful!!! I bet you're sore as ever today...sounds so much like something I would do...if we had snow in Georgia, which we don't ever seem to ~ but if we did I'd be on my bum too!! I want to wish you a wonderful, happy and blessed new year sweet friend, hugs and love, Dawn
You poor thing! Hopefully you're not too stiff and sore today!
When I fall, I barely feel the pain because I'm so busy looking around to see who just saw it happen :)
Have a wonderful, slip-free day!
Oh Hon! Ding-dang ice! Oh I am so afraid of falling on ice, having done so a few years ago and broken my arm. Ugh... Yish....
Pullllllllleeeeeeeeeeeze be ever so careful.
And also pullllllleeeeeeeze, consider an X-ray. Just to make sure.
And I'm so glad that I alerted you to a new post at Button Willow Chronicles! You love that blog too! :-)
That's what I love about using Google Reader to follow blogs. It shows me when there are new posts! It shows me new posts, in big bold print. :-)
Now be more careful, you hear? 'Auntie' sezzzzzzzzzzzz... ,-)
I truly can relate to this story! what I want to know, is why I always fall in front of a bunch of people.....glad you are ok and here is to a wonderful New Year for you and your family!!!!
Oh, I am so sorry! I fell once last winter, but it was into a soft snowdrift. (Don't ask.)
My talent is tripping and falling on dry sidewalks in nice weather. I've done it twice not. The first time I had a badly bruised kneecap and the second time I fractured my elbow.
