I'd like to introduce you to my new Grand.......

...dog! Actually, he's just a wee little pup.

My niece has 2 small dogs, the first was so small she named her "Dot" - then she got another even smaller one and named her..."Speck"...

Jeff & Rachael's little pup was (and is going to be..) smaller than..oh let's see..what's smaller than a Speck??

..a "Smudge"..

Yep - this little guy is Smudge..Smudggers, Smudgens, Smudgkins..Smudgie..(Mr. B said don't call him "Smudgie" ..it sounds too "girly")

"Heavenly Father, we ask that we learn to get along, play nice and that she does not take a ton of pictures ...Amen"

In these photos he may not look that small unless you consider his cousin, Braxton (oh yea..not "Braxie"..) is not very big himself. He weighs in at about 11-12 lbs.

So, this little guy really is a wee one.

"I AM sitting still so we can get the picture..duh..."

Braxton & Smudge got along pretty well (except when Smudge kept trying to find those "feeding spouts" he remembered his Mom having..)

Lulu, well, not so much. She got a little nippy with him then spent the rest of the night in the bedroom (her choice) . I think she felt she needed some distance between her and this little one..and she knows if she separates herself, she won't get into any trouble. (Who says dog's can't reason...??)
"Is he...sniffing my ear?? Aw..come on..stop that.."

Anyway, the get-together with Brooks, Jenny, Oliver & Brahm (the neighbors) and Jeff & Rachael and Smudge (the kids) Sacha and Grandma Evelyn and Mr. B & me went very well.

Poor-man's lasagna, tomato, onion and mozzarella cheese salad, veggies (squash - green & yellow, green olives, artichoke hearts, pearl onions and garlic in a light V-8 juice was excellent. A Waldorf salad and cold red grapes filled out the dinner and great conversations followed.

"Hey kid, is she asking us to smile?? Smile?? What is she thinking?? We look like the start of an Oreo cookie.."

We on Main Street hope you have had a really wonderful Valentine's day and that you have an even greater tomorrow.

Oh, how absolutely aDORable! What a cutie! Braxie is a good cousin to Smudge. Lulu will learn he's a good little guy eventually.

Is he a mix or a 'specific' breed? He has a little poodle-like face and cocker-like ears. Oh, I love him already!
