Ya wanna little cheese with that whine??

..first he wants to play..then he want a cookie..then he wants to go outside to play..then he wants to come back inside and watch TV..

Then he wants to be held..then he wants down..then he's teasing his sister..then, when I see droopy eyes and know it's time for a nap..he gets a second wind and is ready to play again..

And, if for some reason we can't "read his mind"..instead of telling us what he wants, he..whines..

whaa whaa whaa

No, I don't have a toddler visiting..or a spoiled teenager...the whiney-bum I talking about is..........

Braxton

Thing is, he doesn't bark. He can..we have heard it on occasion ( I think like 3 times in the 5 years we've been with him)

He doesn't have to. Lulu barks enough for both of them.

Besides, he's smart. He knows she sometimes get reprimanded for barking at other dogs..neighbors..little children..leaves blowing in the wind....wind...

And, he knows when he whines, it just melts me...

He looks sadly into my eyes, and all I can think is..

"You had me at... whine..."

OK, I know he's no Tom Cruise, but he really gets to me...Braxton..not Tom Cruise..although Braxton has been known to jump on a few couches...

He'd probably give me that teen-age heavy sigh and eye-roll if he knew he was tonight's blog-fodder...

Oh Oh, there you go....SEE?? Told you...

I can hear him now...{Sigh} .."Mother...phuleeze...you totally don't understand me. And you're such a dork..and Lulu's bothering me..and Daddy won't listen to me..and , and..oh..you just don't understand! And now you're taking my picture?? Mother...!"

Is there such a thing as a "drama-dog"??

-me

Oh, Sleeping Beauty...you know, "what's her bucket" from yesterday's post? Sleeping Beauty. I remembered last night..in the middle of the night..

He is very cute and I bet he is very spoilt. He is sure to keep you young at heart. I like a dog that doesn't bark.

Braxton is adorable. I think we should set him up with a play date with my Lexi. She's 18 months old and driving me crazy with her excessive energy!

She also doesn't bark, unless she wants to go out (thank God!) or wants more food. I just wish she'd bark when she wants to come in... no, no, she sits at the foot of the steps and just looks at the door. What's that all about?

We love them and they give us unconditional love!

Braxton is the most beauti-mous dog. He looks so much like my Butterbean (who gets groomed tomorrow and I hope he looks as pretty as Braxton when he is done). My dachshund is the whiner at our house... Butter is just so darn SWEET! He tilts his head and "talks" to me sometimes. I could just squeeze your little Braxton... him is so cute!!!! (baby talk, there!!)

Gracie has an aroo-roo that is particularly endearing. It usually comes when she is begging at the dinner table. (Yes, I admit to giving her scraps.) Even if she has had some food, just like Oliver Twist it's "Please Master, can I have some more?"
