I used to have that problem when the kiddos were little and any 2 socks didn't make it to the laundry basket in the same time frame. Sometimes not in the same week...
But Mr. B & I know how to put BOTH socks in at the same time...so the mystery begins..
Until this morning when something caught in my peripheral vision...and I say to my self..
"Self, what IS that lumpy-bumpy puppy bed..?"
Alllrighteythen..Mystery solved...
Lulu? What's this???
Nothing?
Did you jump INTO the hamper?
And out again? Without tipping it over?
Wow, that's impressive.
Bad...but impressive...
No, Honey, they are not your babies....
..and even if they were, would you shove them under your mattress?
OK, OK. But no more. You have Mr. Snakey-toy, your Buddy-what, Monkey, and Music-mouse.
Those are your babies, OK?
Yes, you do have to share them with Braxie..
Yes, you are still my Little-Sweetie-Girl.
Now, step away from the hamper and no one gets hurt..
Love you too.
Did you do this?? Are these Daddy's socks?? Look at me please....

I had a friend once that had a Golden Retriever. ANYTHING that was left around the house that appeared to be clothing orientated, that dog would gather it up and take it down into the basement and put it into the washing machine. Once a retriever, it's hard to get it out of ya' I guess.
I don't know whom to blame here at the Haven. Socks are missing all the time. Personally, I think that one day the right sock can't stand being married to the left one and makes a break for it never to be seen or heard from again.
So cute, those photos, but I was laughing out loud at Vee's comment!
The sock thief sprung. My washing machine eats ours.
We had a yellow lab that carried socks around in her mouth. Unfortunately, she didn't mind stealing underpants as well.
Gracie loves to steal socks - and underwear - from the laundry basket. She doesn't tuck them away anywhere though. She just walks buy, butt wiggling like crazy 'cause she knows she is being naughty and teasing us to grab the sock or underwear away from her. Those dogs!
LOL i guess she likes to cuddle with the socks when no one is looking!
Mick the mad mutt loves to steal socks and underware and present it to anyone who visits me, its a present and he will show it to you but wont give it to you, unless that is you want to pull and drag him around the room [he likes this alot ] crazy hound i love him !
LOL! How sweet, that she thinks those socks are her babies...she is a beautiful sweety!
Hugs,
Penny
Oh, look at that poor little remorseful dear! She's a pretty cute little sock thief anyway!!
Aha, Miss Lulu, Warrior Princess and sock thief. Hey, maybe she's like Robin Hood...rob from the rich and give to the poor?? Funny post!
Your posts on your dogs are my absolute favorite! They crack me up! I just want to snug lulu in this picture because she is just like my little bentley! So curious and possessive and such a diva!
