I've discovered that "be" is one of my favorite words. Maybe not quite up there with "drawer" or "garage" or "pannini" ..but I really like it.
Not "it" but "be" - I made my sister-in-law a couple of three "instant necklaces" and use various thing that she is in real life - what she "be" so to speak..
Hope she like them. They're washers. From the hardware store.
And so yes, it's true - I can shop anywhere and find "stuff". The other one is a domino. Easypeasy.
Got me to thinking about all the "be" in the world..
"What do you want to BE when you grow up??
Do you remember Romper Room ?
"Do be a do-bee and don't be a don't-bee.."
Got this from "Wikapedia"
A recurring character was Mr. Do-Bee, an over sized bumble bee who came to teach the children how to be well-behaved; he was noted for always starting his sentence with "Do Bee," as in the imperative "Do be"; for example, "Do Bee good boys and girls for your parents!" There was also a "Mr. Don't Bee" to show children exactly what they should not do.
Hmm..sounds pretty simple to me..
Do be fair
Do be polite
Do be clean
As we get older, some of us forget the "do-be" part. They are not fair, polite or clean.
Don't be a jerk
Don't be stinky
Don't go there, do that, think that...BE that.
Be good. Be on time. Be responsible. Be be be be be..
As I get older, I just want to...be {blank}..that way I can fill-in the blanks..happy, full, rested, mad, thin, loved, crabby, hungry..
But with all it's faults, it is still so full of promise...To be (...or not, you know, to be..)
Be cool
Be hip
Be silly
be funny
At least we can decide now for ourselves..I think I'll decide to be gone.
