Snow. SNOW? snowsnowsnow...

Yesterday in Sandy, the high was 87 degrees....right now..it's 38 degrees..

I think Mother Nature is dyslexic.. 87.. 38..OK so she can't do math either (87-78 or 83-38?)

remember her?? I do..

I once said "Hey, 'team' backwards spells 'meat'! In a meeting. At work. OUT LOUD.

{that wasn't as random as it sounded..I was talking about being dyslexic..sooo, does this say anything about being ADHD??.. actually, without the 'hyper'..more like ADLD- attention deficit lazy disorder..}

back to the post...

"What a storm! Valley rain, bench and mountain snow and now it's going to get cold. Scattered showers will continue overnight with lows dipping into the low 30s in the valleys, 20s in many mountain locations." - some random Weather person..on TV..that I'm not totally paying attention to..

This is Snowbird lodge..about 20 minutes from here..

Today. September 30th. Yikes.

Our foothills..

So, I can't really say I'm disappointed. Well, maybe a little. I'd like to see some actual fall..

But this was just a chilly-womper cold front and it should be warmer in the next couple of days.

But it was hard to go to work today..I just wanted to stay home..by the fire..

...and bake cookies or something...

Or read..

Probably read. Can't eat a book. They'd have lots of fiber though..

Although..cookies do sound wonderful...

Think I'll go read. A cookbook. Just kidding.

So remember....

.. you never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren't doing anything productive for the rest of the day...

Oh, not me...I'm just sayin'....

It's great that it's been cooler, since I DON'T like the summer heat. But today has just been TOO stinkin' COLD!!
My dad used to say that I'd complain if I was hung with a new rope. hmmmm

I'm way down south and it went to 46 last night, definitely loving that. I also love your random thoughts... and your new header. Fantastic.

What happened to Autumn. We get it the other way. It is supposed to be spring but the temoeratures are sometimes summer time temps. Don't blame you wanting to stay home by the fire. I love being retired, make that semi retired I still get called in now and then.Like your new header and illustrations.

Just saw the question mark after the word "daggy" on your comment. It's aussie slang for "tatty", "crumpled", "worn out","battered", "looks awful". Just the one word covers all of them.

Love your pics! Hate the snow, well, I don't hate snow, just it is too dog gone early for snow... When the snow is on the ground the trees should be bare, no leaves... yoohoo, Mother Nature.... gotta a problem? do we need to talk?
Rainy and cold here and is supposed to rain for 1 1/2 days so you know what that means? Glass cuttin' in my lil' hole... don't have to feel guilty that I'm not outside!

Fire Fancies is one of my most favorite fall paintings. Usually late fall, but it could fit here today too. It was gorgeous Saturday - in the 80s, I'm sure. Today it is rainy and 49 degrees. The wind has been blowing since a cold front came in Sunday. (Wind gets to me - makes me crazy.) They are forecasting SNOW in the SW part of ND overnight. Say it isn't so, Mother Nature!!! Let's wait for Fall Fancies until November! The leaves haven't even turned here, for Pete's sake.

Oh no! I'm not ready for snow either! I did give in and turn my furnace on today though. It's cold and rainy here and it appears to hanging around a few more days.

I've got roasted squash soup on the stove so it's all good!

I've given you a little award over on my blog. Cuz you deserve it!

Hey, I've devoured some books. And that looked to be just the day for a good one. And I thought our winters started early, sheesh.

Wanna see what I've been up to ??

I always wanted a dollhouse. My dad was a carpenter and was asked by one of his wealthy customers to make a dollhouse for their daughter. I...
