This is a story about a little baby girl...brought to us at a surprising time..and the great little ...I mean..young woman she's becoming.
This happened about 9 years ago..actually, 9 years ago August 28th...
My daughter April, already a Mom to 2 - a 13 year old son, Brian and an 11 year old daughter, Alyssa, was surprised when she went to the doctor because she thought she had a "sinus infection"...
Nope.
You're expecting..
Yeah, I'm expecting to have my sinus infection taken care of..
Nope.
Yep. Kids half way grown. Cribs gone. Car seats gone. High chair...gone.
So what... this child was absolutely meant to be..
That was 9 years ago and now we have this beautiful, vibrant, smart soccer playing-gymnastic tumbling- ice skating 4th grader.
She adores her big brother, idolizes her big sister and is the apple of her parent's eyes.
Her official birthday was last Friday, but she's having her party in September (with school starting then Labor day..just not a good scheduling time for the last week in August..)
I was going to wait until her party to show photos, but I got to thinking...I want her birthday to extend as long as it can.....so I woke her up very early on the actual day and sang Happy Birthday over the speaker phone, and I'm posting this week, so that next week I can showcase pictures of her party...
A three-week Happy Birthday celebration? What could be better?
Happy Birthday week Emily!! XXOO
