Spri-fetti.......

When we were walking this morning, I decided to take some photos of the spring confetti that we walk through - and some pretty shots...

OK, OK, there is one...ah...2 little photos..OK, OK, THREE adorable pictures of the pups..

but, but..they're sooo cute..

So last night was my weekly weigh-in...and on Tuesdays I eat "lightly"..really. I mean light-weight because I weight at 6:30pm...so my thought is everything I eat is sheer weight that night..you know, a gallon of water weights, oh, like 10 pounds, right?

And, I come home from work, change into my "lucky pants" (which at my age means almost no-weight in fabric - a definition much different that from when I was younger...) and my crocs, take off any jewelry, and try, again, to rid my body of any...hmm...extra weight.

Go potty - 2 drips and a fart..oh... like THAT's going to help...

So get on the scale, close my eyes (some people have been known to stand backwards so they don't see..) and she whispers..."4 lbs"

"Wait..what????? I've GAINED 4 POUNDS?"

"No, you lost 4.."

If it's possible for a woman my size to float on air, I did. Then I treated myself to that little orange "Hunger" guy- you know, the one in the commercials? Yep, he now watches over my desk at work..just a small reminder....

OK, so if any of you are like me and struggling and feeling sometimes like you'd trade one of your children for buttered toast..hang in there..

(Is that drool on the side of my mouth? Like Pavlov's dog, the mere mention of toast & butter will do that to me...)

Note to God:

Seriously, can you have the bakers you know make a low-carb, low-fat, high-flavor, crunchy-yummy bread that has no points, calories, bad effects and maybe just one great butter-stuff that's not like water-drenched-butter-substitute and that's actually good for you?

Thanks, God.

PS - I know You are very busy with this whole world peace thingy and all, but if you had just a moment..and maybe a bolt of lightening? Cool! That'd get their attention! :-)

Your friend,
-me

I loved your bathroom faux pas...again I'm glad my mouth wasn't full! What a beautiful stroll, with just the cutest lil'mugs ever, I'm sure they love Ma just the way she is...UNIQUE!!!

By the way, I'm recognized for my hair(duh)...I had a young clerk say to me the other day "I'm sorry Mam, we don't carry that any more"...MAM!!! I felt 100...is my wig on crooked, can you see my slip, was it my anti-Bush sweatshirt...OR...is it that we're almost 60...argh...could be worse right...yeah, we could be doing her job!!! Nobody said it would be easy...

Congrats on the weigh-in!

Hugs from Ioway!

I have tears running down my face reading this. I needed a good belly laugh and you delivered. The chuckling started like an eruption with, and I quote "Two drips and a fart" Now the letter to poor God just put me over the edge!

Seen as you have a hotline to Him could you arrange it with Himelf to make laughing an exercise that causes both weight loss and tones all bits at same time.
We'd all be size 0 from reading your posts.
