Didja ever have...

..one of those "kids-in-law" that you like almost - almost - as much as the kid themselves?

Yea, I have one of those and his birthday is today..(actually, I have 3 1/2 of those - the "3 1/2" will be 4 on the Fourth of July when she marries Andy) ..but none of them have a birthday today.

Johnny, my Son-in-Law that lives in New Jersey as husband of Brandi and Papa to Ella Ireland, has been a delight in our lives. He not only gave is Ella but he took Brandi!!

When thet got married (one of THE funnest weddings we've ever been to - so far..) he not only had to sign the marriage certificate, but a "contract" Mr. B and I drew up..

Yep. An all sales are final" type of thing..

You know, no returns...

And it had a clause that he and any subsequent heirs could visit at any time for as long as they wanted..but Brandi needed to give 2 weeks notice, could stay for no longer than 72 hours and had to bring any/all children that were an issue of said marriage with her.

Yeppers..we were happy that Brandi finally caught..I mean..found.. someone who would be her all..and Johnny is...

He's a Mechanical Engineer for the city and he's been a part of the parks, stadiums and a lot of city work.

He's the only son of wonderful Puerto Rican parents with 2 older sisters. He is smart, funny, interesting and VERY patient..with both Brandi and Ella..

He takes Ella to his favorite sports events, Soccer and has even had a soccer jersey signed for her by the New York Bulls (which I guess is a really neat thing)

He teaches Ella lots and she has him wrapped around her little finger.

And he loves that.

He even doesn't mind when the old "Mother-in-Law" comes to visit and takes his day off to show me around on all three times I've been there.

Yes, we are soooo fortunae to have hit the Tri-Fecta when it comes to kids-in-law...

(No pressure, Barb..Andy will show you the ropes..)

Happy Birthday Johnny. WE love and appreciate you!

What a sweet Happy Birthday post to Johnny, your son in law. Everyone should have a cool mother in law like you!!! What a hoot, he had to sign the "Brandi" contract along with the marriage certificate.

Sorry I'm late, but I was in Arkansas. Happy belated, Johnny. I can tell you what wonderful things your M-i-L says about you; but, you've probably already heard them from her yourself. Trust me, she loves you a LOT! Hope you had a happy day!
