OK.. so this is weird...

Alabama birdie

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you

....Mr. B is in Alabama.

But that's not what's weird. Well, actually, it's a little weird.

I mean..Alabama?

Not that I have anything against Alabama (that's fun to type..)Al a ba ma..has kind of a rhythm..
al a BAM a...Ala ba MA

I 've never been to Alabama..although I have seen "Sweet Home Alabama" ..more than once. I think like 3 times. Really like that movie..and it looks..beautiful..

So, I Googled "Alabama photos" and there were tons of beautiful scenery..but Mr. B's landing at night, so I picked this to show you...
The moon over Alabama..

The thing that's weird is it's always been me leaving..I used to travel a lot (a LOT) for work and I was always the one going to the airport, checking into the hotels..and he was home with the pups.

I have never been home without him..I've been without him..but not at home..without him..and it's weird.

Old Alabama fishing man..

He's coming home on Thursday night, so it's not like it's a l-o-n-g time..but weird all the same.

Weird, huh?

Oh, and I try to collect rocks from where I've been (and exotic places other people have been) so maybe he'll bring me one of these..
This , I am told by Google, is an Alabama rock..

So as I was driving home, and was stuck in stop-and-go traffic, I got to thinking about those tail lights again. Guess it's because their in my field of vision. Along with the road and the other cars, you know.

And I've written before about the need to a U-turn signal. I still am a firm believer that we need those..

But now I have discovered another needed tail-light-accessory..or design change. We need brake lights that get redder the harder you push on the brakes!

So if a car in front of you is just slowing down, not really stopping, you could tell because the tail lights would be just a glow..

If they needed to go even slower, the red tail lights would be red-er...

And if they needed to stop quickly, they'd be screamin' red tail lights..

Well, I thought I'd really enjoy this getting to stay up as late as I wanted and not worry if I'm keeping him awake night..but not so much. I'm pooped. I'm going to bed.

I just can't get that song out of my head..."Sweet home Alabama, where the skies are blue.."

And where my blue-eyed Mr. B is tonight.

Alabama, you take good care of him now, ya hear??

It's always an ajustment when your other half is gone. But by the 2nd day I am over it!! Whoo hoo! I can watch whatever I want (the T.V. mooch is gone)so its usually my favorite old movies that he doesn't like. I stay up until 3:00 or 4:00am. I sleep whenever I want with no one waking me up. Now mind you I love that man o mine, but everyone needs a rut breaker. :) So live it up sister!!!! (no offense Mr. B.) good night

For many, many years Dan was on the road from early Monday morning until late Thursday. It seems like he was always gone when Kristen was sick, or it was blizzarding, or some other crisis was occurring. He was even gone the day I had to track him down and phone him that I was being admitted to the hospital to have a Caesarean the next morning.

Now it seems he's always home (did I really say that?).

Wanna see what I've been up to ??

I always wanted a dollhouse. My dad was a carpenter and was asked by one of his wealthy customers to make a dollhouse for their daughter. I...
