Got Tape??

A few years ago I heard about the photo transfer technique with your printer and packing tape, but I hadn't done it for a long time.

Until today. On my lunch hour. I was looking around and saw some packing tape on a roll....

..and, we have a printer...

Hmmm...wonder if it still works??

Yep, it does!

Just print out your photo ( on regular computer printer paper) and place the tape on it (the top side, over the photo..)

Smoosh the tape down (I used a ruler...also found at work..imagine??!)

Once the tape is smooshed down, put the tape in a bowl of warm water - let it set for a while - then take it out and rub the paper off the backside of the tape- the image will stay on the tape!

Sometimes there is enough sticky left to adhere it to paper or whatever, but I let mine dry prior to stapling it to the tag - making an adorable bookmark! It real life it looks very vintage..and pretty ..

OK, so what are these pups looking at soo intently?

Yep...it's Eve..
Strutting her stuff, showing off for the audience of dogs and the 3 chicken-ettes, Flopsy, Mopsy (I think) and Oly (that one I'm sure of)..they were running around the yard and the pups were totally wanting to play with them..

I think.

Somehow I wanted to say to them, as Mr. B was grilling pork chops a few feet away..

"There by the grace of Mr. B go you, you chicken-ettes!"

Beautiful weather here in Utah - 80 degrees. Just last week- 42 degrees and 6 1/2 inches of snow in the nearby mountains. (no, not -80 degrees..that would be silly. The { - } is used as spacer-thingy..)

Gotta love Mother Nature. And punctuation..

So, what do you do on your lunch hour??

I did not know that tape thing...I'm going to have to go get some packing tape. That's so fun! tfs
Don't you just love our weather? I've had so much fun outside...and I am NOT an outside girl.
Hey, aren't you about 16 hours closer now to retirement? :)
Have a good one, Debi

Eve looks like the two roosters that run loose in our neighborhood, a DOWNTOWN neighborhood! And both roosters can't seem to 'get it' that they're only supposed to crow in the morning!

Ah ha - photo tape - cool idea!
Similar to painting a clear coat of varnish on a picture, letting dry, then soaking off the paper part.

At any rate - fun lunch time experiment! My lunch... I'm running home to check on pups!

Your pups and chick are adorable.

Very nice to meet a Utahn.

Gotta love the chickens! I miss the puppies! We got Bert back! I bet I didn't tell you that! Well actually Arthur has them both, but they are back together and i get to visit whenever I want to! yay! It was too much for Annette and her family and Arthur was regretting ever giving him up! So now the 2 brothers can be back together! Miss you! Miss Ella!
Love you, Heather

Scratchy and I have been enjoying this wonderful weather too, although, because of her meanderings to the brush pile and ALL of the 6 acres, I picked 20 ticks off her furry body last night...talk about a full body massage, I think she plants them herself...I want to raise chickens again, do you think Scratch would mind...???!

Cute puppies colourful old chook (that's the hen not you)A neat idea with the tape. I wonder who discovers these things. Lunch time - go to the staffroom, bolt down sandwich, thank my lucky stars that I don't have to do playground duty, talk to ADULTS and then back to the classroom.
