Hi everyone !! {me waving frantically from home...}

Heart rock cafe....

Whew.

Just Whew.

No, actually, it's also.... heehee, wowzer, ahhh, #)($*)@! and "We can do this.."

Nah. 'Whew' petty much sums it up.

Let me start by saying Larry is doing really well - brave, strong, handsome as ever, worrying about how everyone else is handling this devastating turn.

He will have 7 more rounds of radiation, and then, it's just enjoy life...no more can be done. (at least from the medical community..)

However, he told the three of us he will continue to fight, be positive, hopefully ride again, enjoy his ranch, until God calls him home.

Yeah. I know. Hard.

Boyhowdy-hard.

But sooo very glad I went (after the plane missed ME..),we laughed, cried, acted silly, tore my pants ( stay tuned for the rest of this story), drove by many memories..proved my lack of focus as well as lack of navigation..and saw for myself the pain and stress this horrible suckie-cancer has one everyone who loves him...or knows him..or has ever had any encounter with him..or anyone who has come face-to-face with this...stupid, insidious disease.

But for now, until I catch up with all that I have missed with you, I made a few colleges to show you the beautiful part of the country I just spent the past 5 days in:

Food. Of course. Pretty-as-a-picture food that was as good as it looks.

Ever had grilled sweet potato slices on a sandwich? I have.
Mmmm..

Morning walk greeters...

Furry-love of all sorts..oh and a little feathered-love too..

Morning sky-night sky..reminds me of a quote..

"Is the sunset any less beautiful than the sunrise?"

It was said in relationship to age..and yes, we will have beautiful new sunrises and beautiful sunsets..we will be shown beauty and love at both ends of our "day"..

What an exquisite collage of the morning and evening skies and you couldn't have chosen a more perfect quote. Your brother sounds as if he's got his head screwed on straight as a human can have his head screwed on. He will be in my prayers. Now you go get some rest, chickie. You've been up way too late for days now.

Oh, I missed you! So glad you got to be with Larry and your sisters. The sunrise/sunset pictures are glorious -- and such great metaphors.

Your pics are beautiful, glad you got to go and glad you are safely back! So tell me, did your sisters want to keep your shoes?

Love the mosaics....beautiful! I'm glad to hear that you had a good trip and were able to spend time with your family....there's just nothing better than that.
I hope your brother will enjoy more good days to do the things he loves.
Glad you're back.

Oh Colleen I just cried reading your lovely posts. You said it right we still have God to answer our prayers and believe me I have been praying for your brother and his loved ones, like you and family. How old is this young man the big brother in your life? I so love his name, "Kindergarten Cowboy" I've guessed at his age but have no idea? I send my prayers to you sweet lady and your brother. I'm so happy you got to go see him! Your pictures look beautiful. And I'm glad you got to go to cheer him up for now. I can just imagine you crazy, wacky women driving him nuts! So glad your home, we missed ya!!!

Welcome home. I'm looking forward to some good chuckles again. It must have been nice to see your family again. Larry sounds like a fighter and hope he can enjoy the rest of his time. I know how you feel about theis awful disease. It took my brother in 3 months.Love the collages. Which program makes them?

Welcome home! I'm sure Mr. B, Braxie and Lulu were delighted to see your smiling face again.

Lovely pictures; I can hardly wait to see the ones Kathy took as well.

May God be with Larry, and all of you who are close to him. He is a fighter; that runs in your family, I know. Each of you has dealt with hardships and having such a caring family helps, eh?

Love to all of you.
