Did you ever have one of those anoying younger family members or kids of your parent's friends...

..come over and all they want to do is hang out with YOU..and you, being older and much cooler, really don't want to be bothered? But your parents make you play with the kid anyway? And you do, begrudgingly..'cos you don't want to upset the management??

Yeah, it was kind of like that today..

Our son's dog Smudge came to visit today and he brought Jeff along..guess Smudge needed a ride..

Lulu {the Princess Warrior} self-exiles herself whenever any other dogs come to visit.

Apparently they get on her very. last. nerve. So to avoid the certain admonitions from the management, she goes to her bed..or rather our bed, in the very theatrical "I vant to be alone..." manner.

But not our Eyore..uh..Braxton. Nope. He stays. Tries to show interest..sighs heavily..rolls his eyes..and..submits. After all, one wants to keep management happy..{and the cookies coming}

So Smudge runs..Braxton watches. Smudge fetched toys..Braxton watches. Smudge barks..Braxton was surprised we didn't say "No barking!"..but ended up watching.

Smudge sat, played, wrestled, jumped, licked, nipped, rolled over, peed on his puppy pad, drank water, rested...and then started all over again.

Braxton..watched.

Finally, Braxton had to rest..he was exhausted. Smudge rested for....uh....about 5 seconds.

They said their good-byes and....

..Braxton took his place on the couch.." I'm just resting my eyes , OK??..."

I think he earned 2 cookies today...rest those eyes Braxton. Smudge may be back next week.....

Awe, how cute!! I love all the doggies names.....
LuLu, Smudge, Braxton. Braxton reminds me of my little dog Baxter. He will put up with almost anything as long as he is the star of the show. So dramatic!!

Have a lovely Sunday :)

Hugs back at ya!!

I have a cat who is just like that. Oreo MUST be the center of attention. If you don't pay attention to him, he runs in front of you and trips you to remind you that he is there. It's just like having a two-year-old saying, "watch me, look at me!"

It is fun to watch the interaction between pets of a different household. I may be babysitting for the grandpuggy next weekend (Oh, dear God in heaven, please no) and the only good thing about it will be that the cat won't come downstairs and the pug won't go up.

Oh, I do want to apologize for posting about that dump cake... Oh my! Did I say "dump cake"? I want to apologize for saying anything even remotely having to do with cake. Again?! Ackkk, I'm outta here...

Lulu is such a smart dog....remove yourself if you think there might be the slightest problem. Braxton must be the make peace at all cost type personality! Isn't it interesting how two kids from the same family have definitely developed their very own personalities. Cute cute story! Thanks for another smile today.

I think you were a dog in your first life. The way you can read their minds.

My gosh that last photo is so cute I just want to reach in and grab him and hug him. Congrats to Braxton for his - ahem - restraint.

Wanna see what I've been up to ??

I always wanted a dollhouse. My dad was a carpenter and was asked by one of his wealthy customers to make a dollhouse for their daughter. I...
