We interrupt this blog with breaking news...

...our reporters report (becasue that's what they do...report...) the following images were taken with no regard to the photographer's life or limbs ...and against the better judgment of management.... (Mr. B) ...

Sunday, when Mr. B went to market...This little piggy stayed home...Oh wrong story..

..Our fearless photographer took this "opportunity" to haul the ladder, later determined to be the really-really-really shaking-almost-not-any-good-anymore-ladder, to the edge of the sidewalk and forgetting the promise to the aforementioned Mr. B., climbed shakily (uber fear of heights) up the ladder with my...ahem......I mean...HER trusty camera to get this once-in-my- (I mean HER)-lifetime shot:

Ready for some EXTREME cuteness??

TWINS!!
Yep, we have 2 baby hummingbirds in the nest - now remember, that nest is smaller than a half of a tennis ball..or a peach...or a really really large grape...Ok, maybe not that small....but close.

So, as things usually work out - my keeping secrets from Mr. B did not bode well with my digestive track, my nervousness, or my sleep.

I "fessed" up.

(Well, maybe there was just this itty-bitty pre-meditation in my confession...I needed him to hold the BIG strong ladder tonight when we spied the 2 little beaks showing!!)

I mean, as you look at the following series of photos from yesterday, I'm sure you'll see my complete lack of ladder-ability as I nearly lost my footing...

If you put your ear up to the screen, you can almost hear my shriek...

OK, so just wait until I learn how to use that "cherry-picker" I've seen the construction guys down the street using....

Have a SAFE and fun Tuesday - and stay away from those shaky ladders!

I am SO glad you finally got to see the babies! They look hungry! I don't know how soon they'll be flying, but I'll keep reading and hoping for a successful 'first flight'. Love you.

OMG! They are so cute. My hubby would have climbed the ladder for me. Most likely it would have been his idea! You got some great pictures.
