..company BBQ - not my first ever BBQ - that would be just silly.
Didn't grow up going to too many BBQ's - uber hot in Arizona.
I guess we could've had a BBQ Thanksgiving..
..but again, that would just be silly. Turkey & sunblock..right.
So, I'm making a cake. Actually I'm making 2 - one for us to have here and one to take to the BBQ - you know, so you eat just a teensy smidgen and people marvel at your self-control.
I found this great quote - did I ever mention I love quotes? Well, I do. Usually have one for just about any mood I'm in.

Love the quote. I also like your idea for impressing your coworkers with your "self control". We eat cake way too much at work... a party for this, a party for that. We had some GOOD cake and ice cream yesterday for "birthday party of the month" for employees. ha ha We have b.day party of the month for residents too.
You always 'make my day' when I come to visit - you are truly a funny lady and when you write I feel happy I have read your thoughts! Keep up the great posts Colleen - while I go bake a cake, well actually I'm off to make scones for my neighbor - she's 76 today! Next week the cake for dh to celebrate his b'day!!
