It's Friday....and that means tomorrow is.....

...maybe a yard sale day!

Maybe...it's been raining a lot, so I'm hoping.

So, you all saw my cupcake baking photos - but maybe I'm the last one to know about the little aluminum foil-paper lined cupcake liners?? You don't need a muffin (or cupcake) pan!

When I saw this, I thought,"hmmm..I really don't think this will work..." but the thought of making only 12 cupcakes at a time - having to have the oven on- having to wait for the pan to cool, well, the thought was daunting.

So, I thought, "What the heck...I'll try.." and look what I did..

There are 24 cupcakes on one cookie sheet! Cool, huh?!

Oh, and cooling them is was easier too - you have nowhere for the batter to over-flow and get stuck to..just fill a little less, then when done, slide them off the coolie sheet to cool - i put mine on a cutting board.

You can see on this first batch that I over-filled a few - I learned by the time I did Mr. B's favorite chocolate ones.

Anyway, I thought that was neat - but I'm a nerd.

Laurie at http://miss-flower.blogspot.com/ has tagged me to do a meme-(and I don't even know what a "meme" is??!) The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves.

At the end of the post, the player then tags 4 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answers.

So here goes:

a) What was I doing 10 years ago?

I was spending one week at a Breast Cancer Camp in Montana!

Got a used car from the place that I worked (they sold me one of the salesman's car that they were upgrading to a new model - for a ridiculously LOW price - thank you Mr. Bachman!)

b) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today

1. Go to work - honestly, one time I "forgot"... REALLY - I was busy doing a project and looked up - it was like 9:30 - sigh - OH NO! It's not Saturday!

2. Learn new stuff at work - that's pretty easy because it's ALL new to me..

3. Spend time with Braxton - who gets VERY put-out if he doesn't get enough lap-time.

4. Give Sacha @ work a little dry erase board - the one's I have been making - she loved it!

5. Send up prayers for those I have heard about, read about, seen and know who need a little uplifting.

c.) Snacks I enjoy

chips & salsa

cookies

celery w/homemade Ranch dressing

d.) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:

Take my entire family to Ireland for an extended vacation

Buy a family cottage in Ireland to take my entire family to

Set up my very own dog rescue on my very own land that holds my very own cottage in Ireland where I have taken my whole family

Buy a pony...( I never got one for my birthday..no I didn't..ever...)

e.) Places I have lived

Chicago

Glendale, CA

San Diego

Tucson

Amarillo, TX

Phoenix

South Fork ,CO

Littleton, CO

San Fransisco

St. Louis

Sandy, UT

So there you have it. Kind fun. There are many of you I'd like to know more about, so here are the 4:

Colleen @ Coll's Garden

Steph @ queen of dreamsz

Rachael @ The Life of a Newly Married Wife

and...

Vickie @ Snow Days Art

Have fun on Saturday and rest up for the week ahead...

Hi Grammy,
Muscatine, Iowa, south of the Quad Cities on the Mighty Miss. Used ta live in Evergreen, Colo. too, then Lake Placid, Fla. until my daughter begged me to move back to help with her biz as her husband succumbed to his brain cancer at age 36.

As life moves on, I try to find the humor in everything...at our age, we have a lot to laugh about. I look at life with tougue in cheek, with 'Bad' Scratchy at my side we enjoy each day as a new beginning at our lil' pink chateau sitting at the edge of the city on our lush 6 acres. Letting my bluegrass grow long (protesting the gas prices)to blow in the prairie winds, I mow with a rotary mower around the house and am sure I'm known as the eccentric single neighbor...wait till I get the goat and chickens.

So email me some time, I'd love to chat further...and by the way...did you really eat only one cupcake???
Grammy to one 21 year old,
Sharon

I always wondered if you could really make those cupcakes with out a pan. I will have to remember this.
Thanks for playing along.

Wow Colleen, I just read "Sweet Repose" comment. Maybe we are all getting "old & scratchy".
Anyhoo, I shall endeavour to answer all tag questions. I really stink at them though.
Hugs, Coll :-}

You are one busy lady. My week has been crazy and I haven't stopped by for a few days....you are still amazing! I have never even thought of making cupcakes without the "Right" pan....and of course burning the fingers trying to get them out of it! I'll give that a try since the gk have decided to stay a few more days. Thanks for the smiles....again!

Hi Colleen,
I answered your tag. Come take a look at my blog. Just one thing not on there that you might want to know about me is that I did get a pony for my ninth birthday:) Now it's my sister who has the horses.

thanks for sharing your cupcake liner discovery! I love cupcakes but hate making them because it takes to long to make a big batch...I will try this soon!
