Good bye from the gang...

Well, I did it. I left. Today was my last day. Lillie and Brenda (second row) each brought me a plant for my new cubicle.

All had such kind words and hugs for me.

Even Dean, the young man in the second row told me that if he could have chosen a "Mother" he would have chosen me...

Ahhhhh....I know you're saying that right now!

So, my new adventure begins on Friday. Tomorrow I get my hair cut, maybe get some new pants and just rest up and practice NOT saying "Hello" - and the old company's name.

When I first started I had come from another company that started with the same first letter. I cought myself saying the wrong company name a couple of times.

Finally wrote the current company name on a sheet of paper & stcky-noted it to my computer. Whenever the phone rang, I'd look to see where I was working......

But that's just me...

So, hair cut and dinner out. Good plan. Y'all have a great Thursday, will ya?!

It is so sad leaving your friend at work but thnk of the new friends you will make. I found it was easier just to say "This is Carolyn".....at least the name has not been changed even if the company did...Good Luck and have a great day today....

Colleen, congrats on the new job! I did a bit of internet sleuthing and what a great place to work! You'll have so much fun there! :)

I had to laugh about your telephone comment--I did the same thing too! When I was first hired here, I wanted to answer the phone with the name of the campus newspaper from college where I worked before I graduated! Isn't it funny how those things (like telephone greetings) just become habit?! :)

It's sad to say goodbye, isn't it? Now that I realize we will be moving, I find myself "liking" my coworkers more than I used to... LOL. Good luck on the new job!

Wanna see what I've been up to ??

I always wanted a dollhouse. My dad was a carpenter and was asked by one of his wealthy customers to make a dollhouse for their daughter. I...
