I've got a QUIZ for you !......

OK, so what does a W-4, and I-9 a new note-taking book and bottle of French Imported Lemmonade on a desk say to you??

........................................................................................................................................................

........................................................................................................................................................??

YES! I have started a new job! Yeah...

Now: a moment of silence for the dearly departed "free time" I've had the opportunity to get to know over the past couple of months.....

OK, so here's the scoop - I am a Customer Service Adminisrtator for GeneTree -

"GeneTree (www.genetree.com) is a new category of family networking site designed to help people understand where their personal histories belong within the greater human genetic story. The GeneTree site creates unparalleled opportunities for unlocking genetic heritage and identity, connecting with ancestors and living relatives, and sharing meaningful information and experiences to help preserve family histories. GeneTree expands the concept of family, providing fresh new answers and perspective to the universal questions, “Who am I?” and “Where do I come from?”

WHOA! And to think all I could do as of the interview was spell "DNA"....

It's very exciting and I am learning a great deal and I've only been there 8 hours. Can you imagine the stories I could tell at the next family reunion??

I met some folks and actually remembered names - which is sooo unlike me - but there's a Jeff and I have a son Jeff - then there's a Kobe - and I have a grand-dog named Kobe -

...a Brian which is the name of the grandson who has Kobe - (the dog not the co-worker) a Kerry which is my niece's name (but this one is a guy - like Kerry in Ireland..)

A Kimberly that likes coffee (!) and wants to be called Kim...and Paul - which just happened to be my favorite Beetle.....

See, I have it all figured out.

Now to figure out the mitochondrial DNA vs the Y DNA and the Y chromosome and the XX one...High School biology anyone?? Anyone??

Buhler?? Buhler??

So wish me luck - the thing is, this interestes me - I like History and I am into the geneology thing so this should be a good fit...

...and anywhere that you get a bottle of French-imported Lemmonade on your desk on your first day along with an email from the VP saying he's taking me & my boss out for lunch has go to be PERFECT, right??

Cya2morrow!

-me

PS- the site is free - check it out - you can even make a family tree and have fun - all for FREE!
Let me know what you think, OK?

-me too

Q: What is GeneTree?A: GeneTree is a family history sharing site created to help people everywhere understand how their personal stories belong within the framework of the greater human genetic story – by discovering their genetic heritage and identity, connecting and collaborating with living relatives, and sharing meaningful information and perspective through personal stories, photos, video and documents.

Congratulations Colleen - this sounds right up your alley - history buff, geneology, bottles of fizzy liquid to sip, and lunches out - what more could a gal want!!!

Hope all goes well and you remember all the names - somehow they are starting to escape me lately, a bit disconcerting to say the least!

Have fun - some jobs can be fabulous!
