Stage 3 cancer that is beaten....
Finding your absolute soumate....even after 4 children and one "starter" marriage....
When I was walking the pups this evening, I found flowers...tiny flowers that have bloomed ...
Out of the blacktop...against a power pole. In the middle of nowhere. Against the odds....
And another unassuming little flower..
.
Again, growing and flourishing...against the odds...
There is someone else in my life, someone who means everything to me..that is going through some rough spots right now.
My sister. She took over raising me when my Mother was no longer willing or able to.
She is the "middle" sister..the one to which the responsibilities fell......naturally.
She was made for the job. She was always organized, determined, strong and firm.
She was always compassionate, fair and loving.
She raised her three children to become successful adults. On her own...sometimes holding down 2 demanding jobs to do so...
But somehow, somewhere, she was dealt a hand that she didn't deserve. She was taken advantage of. Life has not been fair to her...
To talk to her, you'd never know the depth of what she is going through..she is, after all, the strong one...always has been...
But I know, I KNOW she will get through this last issue.....problem.... test....
....against the odds....
The reason I am so sure of this is that I believe in Angels. I believe in God. I believe in love.
I believe in the power of prayer.
..and I believe in karma....
So I am asking all of you who read this blog, who I know are loving, helpful people, to send up a prayer for my sister, my friend, my mentor...
And help her to get through these tribulations.......and beat them.....
.....against the odds....

Strong women run in the family...I know with you in her corner..nothing is impossible....you and your sister are in my prayers and thought...she is really lucky to have you in her corner....
Whatever your sister is going through can be overcome with pray and faith! With you beside her I'm sure she'll be able to get through her latest life challenge. She's got a prayer from me coming her way! As do you, my friend!

p.s. something that has always helped me as well, is to "talk" with Saint Jude Thaddeus ~ you might mention it to her....
You are definitely a survivor...and your sister is extremely blessed to have you on her team! I will definitely be praying for her! This post is very moving, Colleen!
