Didn't think I'd have much luck today...

..what with it being a holiday week-end and all.

But I did!

I went to two Estate sales and did, I think, really well. Nothing spectacular (like 100 year old letters and deeds! ahem...) but fun stuff I can use in my art room.

This little lady reminds me of the pictures of Betty Grable I've seen...she's obviously had some work done on her knees, but for my reasons (just because I liked her - not for re-sale value) I thought she was adorable!

She almost looks like Tinkerbelle...

Then I found this little ballerina - on the bottom of the piece it reads "Occupied Japan" - I just love the little details - even a teensy rose on her skirt!

The next photos are just a mish-mash of things I bought - old books - some with the prettiest covers... Some just because they matched my newly painted desk!

Just look at those covers! Aren't they pretty??

And who says you can't judge a book by it's cover? Well, I did and guess what? The insides are pretty too!

Oh, then there was the box of lace and trimmings - wooden spools and an old dress label when Ginger Rogers was associated with JC Penney's (?)...Huh...I had no idea...

Well, that's what I did today - oh, I almost forgot - I made the breakfast bars from Karin and they were Y.U.M.-OOOOOOOOO!

Have a sunny & bright Sunday and take care, OK?

Nope, not Tinkerbelle, I think she looks like a young Debbie Reynolds (am I giving away my age here). What I wouldn't give for those knees.
