Breast Cancer Survivor's Luncheon

...luncheon..love the way that's spelled...it makes it fancy...

.....sooo much better than 'lunchen'...luncheon looks like "ladies who lunch" in my mind..

Off subject.

I went to the Breast Cancer Survivor's Luncheon today. I thought I might not go..then I thought, ............well, I have 12 years of experience being a survivor...maybe I can be of some help...or ....encouragement?....maybe.. support? to those who are new in this sorority.

In this sorority, there is no 'pledging'..and it's one you cannot get out of..nor would you want to.

It's a special group of women and men who have treaded some of the same paths you have.

Some have stumbled. Some have fallen..but they are all survivors.

Suvivors of the diagnosis, the appointments, the chemo, the surgeries, the fear and the doubt.

Suvivors of the phone calls to children, sisters and friends to tell them what we feared most has happened.

Suvivors of the heartache and sadness this disease has instilled in those you love and who love and worry about you.

Suvivors.

You betcha we get a luncheon.

So please, please do your monthly exams. Get your mamo's-grammed. Ask questions. Demand answers. Support the cause. Wipe out breast cancer before our granddaughters have to worry...

And maybe we could all meet up somewhere in the middle and have a blogger's luncheon!

have a glorious Sunday!

You don't need to wonder if you can be of some help? encouragement? support? YOU are a living example of all those; I'm sure everyone there, new or not, wanted to spend time with you....such a great role model! Love you.
