Seems I've lost the post...

....I just spent the better part of , oh , like an hour writing.

It was really going to be fun, too. Drat. (cool word, huh?)

Anyway, it was about smells. And while I was searching for some cute-smelley-blog-related photos, I found this story. And I loved it so much more than anything I could have written.

So I'm not too sad about loosing my blog work for tonight because now I have this to share..

SASKATOON - Some Saskatoon police officers held their noses long enough to save an overly curious skunk that had gotten its head stuck in a paper cup.

But as it turns out the grateful skunk made no attempt to spray his new found friends .

Officers on routine patrol found the skunk running in circles with its head stuck in the cup.

After numerous attempts, and numerous hasty retreats, one member was finally able to get close enough to pull the cup off.

The skunk seemed to be appreciative and quickly ran away.

Yeah Saskatoon Officers! If I ever get to Saskatoon (sounds like the beginning of a Country Wester song, huh?) I'm going to hug a Saskatoon-er!

Yeah little {grateful} skunk! If I ever get near a skunk......I think I just wave. And run. And hold my nose. Sorry.

I like this post; I'm sure I'll like the one about smells when you get around to writing it again. You couldn't have found a more appropriate picture about 'smells' than the one of the skunk! Take care.

I worked with a lady that had a skunk for a pet. At avery young age you have them "De-skunked" so they will not spray--that's a defense mechanism. They are very clean and very loyal..kinda like a CATDOG.....

Don't ya just hate it when you work so long on a post only to have it disappear. I've done it a few times....and if you go to edit your posts your entire post should be there as a draft! Look into it girlie! LOL!
My neighbor has chickens...yes I live in a reasonably nice residential area and my freakin' neighbor has chickens! ANYWAY...the chickens attract skunks and my dogs KNOW when they're in the neighborhood. They begin barking and then the smell arrives a few moments later!

Wanna see what I've been up to ??
