Ohmyheck...I CAN cook!

I'm between jobs (the going back thing really didn't work out..) so I seem to have more time...

The time I used to think I'd have enough of to do all the things I couldn't do when I was working...

But I still don't have enough...........time that is..

Like Wednesday. Baked 2 cakes one for the neighbor that I decorated and one new recipe for us (YUM-O) - (I decorated the CAKE - not the neighbor - in case you were wondering..)

then, just puttered around a little....

..and ........

...made dinner!!

...shut up ! ...

Yeppers, you read right.

I, the one who knows how to cook but chooses not to - the one who had a deal with Mr. B that the first one home cooked dinner and who, on more than one occasion, drove around the block several times until I saw his truck in the driveway...made tacos and quesadillas for dinner!

OK, so not Rachael Ray cuisine....but they were good tacos...and I cut up the tomatoes and even seeded them...and made appetizers of cream cheese and salsa roll-ups...hey, it's a start..I mean...an attempt...(don't want to "start" anything here now...)

Mr. B stopped and got steaks and potatoes for tonight's dinner which he cooked...

But, hold on, I made cookies...well I baked ..You know, the cookie-dough cookies you get in the refrigerator section.... (anything looks better in a pretty cake-saver like this one...cookies, cakes, pies, even toast! Or so I've been told...'course the heat does fog up the dome thingy..)

...AND I sewed! Yep. Made some little throw pillows out of the leftover fabric from the curtains. They look cute.

I am such a "domestic Goddess"....Martha-in-the-making....Aunt Bee in the begining...Wally & the Beav's Mother...Harriet to Ozzie...Lucy to Ricky..no wait. not that one...maybe Ethel to Fred...Wilma to Fred...Ginger to Fred...(?)

Anyway, I still haven't read all the books I wanted to read..like none so far...and I haven't cleaned out the closets..or my art room...or my bedroom..or, or, or...

I haven't watched the DVD's Jeff & Rachael brought over. But I did catch an episode of Judge Alex.....

I think "time" is like my purse - "junk" will expand to be almost too big for dimensions of the purse.

So my daily doings will expand to be too much to fit the time allotted.

Oh crikees.....as far as time goes, I have a "messenger bag" appetite on a "clutch purse" budget...

Hmmm...

I'm sorry to hear your "going back" thingy didn't work out. Must be for a good reason, eh? Glad you have time to cook, bake, sew and do the things you like.

Take care. Betty
