He went to Jared...no wait...he went to Home Depot!!

I don't know if you know the Jared Jewelry store add where they are so excited about him "going to Jared"..but I have something sooo much better - back lighting on the shelf that goes the width of the room!

This will afford me so many options for decorating - picture frames leaning on the shelf, collectibles. treasures...oh I can't wait!

And here is the window seat/bookcase form a better perspective - it will be painted the Buttermilk.... against the Celery walls...

I'm thinking dark baskets with the fabric liners for the under seating.

The shelves will be adjustable except the ones that are in now- those are "supporting" shelves.

The seat cushion will raise the seating to almost level with the window...perfect for grandchildren! Actually, it will hold about 4 regular sized people ...or 2 my size...LOL..

I think every home built should have crown molding - it's like a frame on a picture...or hair on your head..it looks as it has always been here...(not to "dis" bald men...and don't buy crown molding (hairpieces) for your heads - I think bald heads are very pretty...)

The furniture place called to say the delivery date has changed from Friday to Monday- which is OK - it gives us another week-end to feel "finished"...and I have a couple of pieces that I want to antique or distress that I think will look great in the room.

Then all we'll need to add is family & friends! Y'all drop by now, will ya??

Go out there and pursue your dreams today - even if it's just day-dreaming!

Thank you so much for visiting me and for your kind words about our Buck.

I must tell you that I have enjoyed reading your posts. Oh how familiar it all looks! Trying to get our house ready to sell resulted in working around piles of boxes, furniture and stuff and one "small project" snowballing into several major projects. Now that this house is just about perfect, it will soon be time to move on to the little house we "adopted" in Kentucky. I already have my mind set that we will be living in total chaos for no less than a year. . . the last couple sets of "foster parents" this poor little house had were NOT kind to it.

Can't wait to see the end results of your trip to the furniture store!

Blessings!

Wow, Colleen!!! I just LOVE that backlighting on the shelves!!!! What a great idea! I can wait to see those displayed. My brother in law installed those above his kitchen cabinets and they've displayed all types of colored glass bottles and other items up there....so beautiful. This room is going to be wonderful when you are finished. Thanks for the photos and for letting us go along for the redo ride! I appreciate your sweet comments about my little shoppe, we'll see how it does! Hope you're having a great Wednesday...xxoo, Dawn
