You know you should stay away from technology when....

...I was in the airport a few weeks ago, I saw a young man listening to his iPod or iPhone or iDon'tKnow

and he put the ear-buds or ear-friends or ear-acquaintances or ear-phones (ear-iPhones??) thingys up and under his shirt, then connected them to his ears..

He was then able to slip the iWhatever into his pocket and not have the cords out.

Huh... pretty smart. I have always had those cord things slipping off or tangling up or getting caught in my sleeves...

So today I put the idea into action..

Slipped the cords up and under my blouse..

Ear-thingy in ear...

MP3 player in pocket...

works great...cool :-)

Until...

I walked into the restroom..

..unzipped and dropped my drawers..

OhMyHeck....The cords were connected to the player in my pocket...

..by way of... MY HEAD..

Suddenly, my head was pulled between my knees and I had whiplash like a crash-test-dummy going 100 mph..

When my eyes were safley back in my head and I had gained some sense of balance..I thought..."maybe not a good idea.."

After gathering what was left of my dignity, I put the ear buds back in and went into the break room to get a bottle of water.

Who knew while the MP3 player was in your pocket that bending over at the fridge would cause your hip bone to press on the volume control until Susan Boyle was virtually screaming in your ear..

I DREAMED A DREAM OF DAYS GONE BY...

..at the number level of 27...I usually listen at ..oh..like a... 3

Besides, who knew I had a hip bone??

Oh yeah..the one with the ginormous bruise I got while snow-hip-sidewalk surfing a couple of weeks ago.

Live if tough when you're trying to be...cool.

Oh, and my hearing should be back to normal within a week or so..

It's just amazing now isn't it?

Too Much technology...

I smile a lot at different blogs but I rarely laugh outloud like I just did. My only sorrow is that we couldn't have been in the airport watching you do all that 'fixing cords'.

And I have to say, 'too much technology' now. What will it be in the next 10 years. Ugh. I hate to think about it.

I love my MP3 player and listen at the lowest setting. I'm glad we didn't grow up with allot of earphones because my kids listen to the TV so loud, its not good for the ears. Cute post.
