Whew..my life of crime fighting las left me ..exhausted

hee hee.

So today, being the 'day after' a big adventure, needed to be quiet and calm. And it was.

Went to see Leap Year and was thoroughly enchanted with the characters, the scenery (Ireland) and loved every entertaining minute of it.

It's not earth-shattering or will make a mark in the history of the world..won't solve an world crisis, didn't try to be a documentary that would be for the betterment of man (and woman kind) but was totally entertaining and delightful.

Just what your average super-hero-Applebee's-dining-crime-fighting observing-not-your-ordinary-grandma needed on a rainy/snowy Saturday in Utah.

Afterwards, the handsome and debonair Mr. B took me to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch then a luxurious shopping extravaganza at our local thrift store.

Is that a way to spend a day or what??

Found these tres-chic {cute} plates - they are a little bigger than a saucer.. tres-petite

Aren't they great? Here's a closer look..

They were all of $1.00 each..
SCORE..!!
{not to brag..}

Hope you have had a good Saturday and have an even better Sunday.

HI Colleen!

The movie sounds great. I will have to see it as
soon as it comes out here. Oh, and the plates are great! You did score big! The colors are so vibrant. I bet they will look wonderful in your kitchen :)

Btw, I was going threw my webshot pics and came across the ones I took in Strokestown. Isn't your family from that area? Did I ever send you the link for them?

Hello Colleen,
I also enjoyed watching the movie and was ready to move into the farmhouse where they stayed and cooked dinner for the owners. Light romantic comedies are my cup of tea!

Love the plates. I too went to a thrift store this weekend, but left empty handed :( Maybe today will be my day of glory.

Glad you had a lovely day!

Nancy

I had a chance to catch up on your posts. I learned one thing,,,,
Yes, I am chronically disorganized. Not sure how I am going to change that, but I think I need to get 4 files, label them and just dig in. I might actually need 4 file cabinets though! Good to get caught up Colleen...

Cute plates! Definitely a fine find.
Glad you are writing movie reviews, as Hubby and I haven't been in a theater to see a new movie in about...uhhhhhhh... 8 years. I don't know who these actors are, but I'll look for this one at the library when they finally get it. Hey, if it's set in Ireland, I'll LOVE it!!! :)
Have a happy, Colleen!

Colleen, Great finds! Sounds like an exciting Friday night! I'm very glad you survived and weren't handcuffed! Sliding into base is how my son finished tearing his shoulder muscle from the bone and tearing his rotater cuff in 2 places! Years of baseball! Enjoyed catching up with you. Jean

Yes, lovely plates with bright, fantastic graphics. It's okay to brag every now and then, just don't make a habit of it! Happy Sunday...hope it's relaxing, too.

That's a movie I want to see too. I want to throw away all cares and woes for two hours of Ireland and romance.

It was supposed to snow all weekend here - blizzard even. We had 4 1/2 inches of light, pretty snow on Friday and nothing since. Good thing it isn't snowing today. The wind is roaring like crazy.
