Things I think I should know, but really don't want to know..

..but really should know..you know??

OK, so the window washer thingy in my car was all frozy and weird this past week, and that can be quite hazardous for winter driving.. so I asked Mr. B to please re-fill it..

I know, and yes, I do know how, but there are just some things I choose not to do..and filling the window washer thingy happens to be one..kinda like cooking..or lawn maintenance..

So I pulled the latch-thingy inside the car (so proud I knew which one to pull..one time at a car place I thought I was pulling the right one and opened the trunk..) and then went to try to lift the lid..no luck.

Seems you have to know the 'secret handshake' or something because Mr. B can just sort of reach around and viola! It's opened..kinda like un-hooking a bra with one fell swoop...

But I told him I "need to learn how" and after a while, I got it opened. (the car lid, not the bra thingy)

And looking in I saw 2 jug-like things (hey..do I see a pattern here??) that had some sort of colored stuff in them..I asked if it was the blue-ish one or the orangie one I needed..

"No..window washer fluid..the other is coolant"

"Oh, so what's coolant?"

"It keeps your car cool"

"..cool..but it looks like I need some of that as well..see? It has 'F' and 'L' and right now it's under 'L'..so we need to fill it to the 'F', right??"

"no.."

"sooo..if 'F' is for 'full'...then 'L' is for 'low' right? But it probably should say 'E' for 'empty', which is the opposite of 'full'..or if they want to use 'L'  for 'low' then maybe they should use 'H' for 'high', right? You know, the opposite of 'high'?? "

"It doesn't need any more in it. When it gets hot, it expands and becomes full. do.not.add.anything."

( I need to insert here that I like instructions...simple instructions..)

"hmmm..then it should say 'FE' for 'Full Enough' and 'AL' for 'Almost Low' and then 'AM' for 'Add More'..then..'ASN!' for 'Add Some Now!'..

"I'm done. Close the hood..please.."

"Geesh..what a grump.."

See? There are just some thing I really don't need to know..

I hate car 'stuff'. It's the one reason a man is good to have around.

Btw, I appreciate the time it takes you, to find and download all the pics you use, for your posts!!! I do appreciate it!

Because it takes me time, to do the same.

And I often wonder if anyone "appreciates" it?

So I thought I'd tell you, that I do. So there.

Filling fluid-thingys in the car is one of many reasons to have a man around the house.

Too much fun! Too true as well. There are so many things like this that qualify...shoveling the roof for example...I never want to know how to do that!

I definitely think that it's more than okay to let the guys be in charge of the car too :)

This is great and I totally understand. Reminds me of that email joke that went around about the lady looking for some 710 and the car guys could not figure out what she was talking about. Turns out she was looking at the OIL cap. That one cracked me up!
