HOW much have you lost?????

OK, so it's always fun to be the "new person" at Weight Watchers, huh?

Yeah, right. All the other's have been going for a while and know each other ... They are so proud of the weight lost (and rightly so) But somehow, you feel they've gotten a head start...

And when the leader asks "OK, now who has lost ........5 pounds??!! and everyone waits to see who raises his/her hand?? Lots of hands on that one...

Then they go to (in their thin, sweet-smiley voice..)... "10 ..15????"

..and so on and so on until they get to the ReALly bIg numbers..."75???"...."80?????"

...no hands show....people start shuffling in their seats...looking at their feet...

"MoRE ThAn 80???!!!" she says, eyes almost bugging out of her head...a hint of a smile..challenging...no one is raising their hands....

Then, one hand shoots up. I stand up proudly.

{Gasp} from the audience......nervous smile from the leader......(she knows how much I just weighed in at)

Leader asks....cautiously..."uh..OK...how much HAVE you lost??"

157 PoUnds!!!!!!!

............GASP.............

Wha..???? Really??? But that would mean you started at...oh my!

Oh, not consecutively, silly! Over the course of years joining Weight Watchers...

Bwaahaaaaa! Gets 'em every time. I So crack me up.

So, OK, now for the cold hard truth. I lost 4 more pounds - for a total of 7 lbs. One small tyrkey..or one large ham. Or 28 sticks of butter!

Yeah, me.

Oh, and this is the icing on the cake (excuse the pun..) I weighed in AFTER dinner...yup..while all the other's were waiting to rush home to eat supper, I had already eaten.

Nah Nah.. Nah Nah.. Nah..... Nah!

OK, so, in what circumstances do you let your "inner-child" out? Even if she is a brat?

Let me know what turns you into a 5 year old like Lily Tomlin as Edith Anne on that big rocker...swingin' her feet and being all nasley??

Haha...I get the 'nasley' part about Edith Ann. You rock! Seven pounds is nothing to laugh about...pounds are HARD to lose, so you are showing the world what willpower you have. Rock (but no rolls)on!

Congrats on your loss...and to prove that I really respect your efforts...I'll have another piece of this fresh, Amish-made peach pie...just a small piece for your sake, as you see, I have already had my normal piece...a sacrifice I am willing to make for you dear friend (are we still friends?)

A walk on a river's sandbar turns me into a 5 year old, collecting shells and drift wood and lotus buds...doesn't git any better'n this.
