Ohhh..a storm's a comin'....

We have been sunny and bright, but we have had another "Spring" change. It's gotten much colder and skies are very dark. Rain we can handle - snow - not so much. (you don't have to 'shovel' rain!)

Today was a good mail day - 2 new magazines. Both have dedicated this issue to "Going Green" - you know, saving, conserving, not wasting, all that good "green" stuff.

But, this is how much "fluff" was inserted in the magazine that I took out.

I know, I know, they need their advertisers. But give me a break - How many subscription postcards does one magazine need? I counted 7 in just one...all for subscriptions - which, obviously, I already have....

Hmmm..

And yes, I realize that I am a little obsessive about taking the junk out of magazines. I actually tear out the medicine ads (usually 2 pages full of unreadable small WARNINGS..)

I always take out the postcard thingies - even if I'm at the doctor's office or the hairdressers. I feel I am doing a public service.

Which, now that I write this out, maybe is not so good seeing one might actually see a magazine they've never seen before and think, "Oh, I have killer bronchitis, a fever of 105 degrees, my skin is turning blue, I have a urinary track infection, toe fungus...but I want to subscribe to this wonderful magazine!! And I want to do it NOW!

OK, so I was blogging around and found some old bottle with charms and ribbons hanging from them and thought, "well I have old bottles and some ribbon and some photo charms..I can do this"...but the openings for the ribbon was very small so I have to use really thin ribbon. Maybe I'll dress them up more later. Until then, this dresses them up a little and gives Mr. B one more place to see family around.

Have a fun day and in the immortal words of Kermit ...

"It isn't easy being green..."
