We're going to have a party..

..for my brother, Larry

That's what he wanted. No tears. No funeral. No sadness.

A party. With lots of drinking. And lots of friends.

So, we can't promise no tears, and I really don't drink...a lot..well, maybe just some Bailey's Irish Cream in my tea...

We're getting together with his friends, family and loved ones to remember his life, his laughter and his love.

And we will share out stories and our rememberies...

And we'll have a party.

I'm on my way to Arizona and won't be blogging until Monday, so have a very Happy & Safe Easter...

..and remember, jelly beans give you gas....

OK, well...maybe just me..

Great idea. I know how hard it will be. I'm scared about going to Easter with my family without my Mom there.

What a great way to honor your brother.

(Nan asked me the other day if I'd like to have her around for another 100 years. I hope I gave her a reassuring response when I said that she is eternal just as I am, and that she will always be a part of my life. I know that is what you believe, too.)

Oh, about that last bit...it's the sugar, my friend. The SUGAR. Ha!

Hugs for you all...now have great fun!

I live in AZ and have watched the articles about your brother's death. I'm so sorry. He seems like a heads up, great guy. You are lucky to have had such a marvelous brother. Remember him fondly as he wanted you to. Know that we all wish you peace and love and comfort during this tough time.

I hope you guys have a nice time together... I'm with you on the "no tears" part.... it almost makes me cry while reading your post. And stay away from those gassy jelly beans!

A celebration of my life is what I've told my family I want when my time comes. No funeral, no sad songs, just fun memories, and lots of food! An old fashioned wake. Have a nice memorable time Colleen, and Happy Easter.
