Reminded me of that silly kid's thing "how do you get peanut butter off the roof of your mouth" (said in a peanut-butter-stuck way) "you put it on your finger" then "how do you get peanut butter off your finger? You put in on the roof of your mouth.." and so on forever....
It was smooth on the top. Fix the sides. Smooth the sides. Fix the top. Smooth the top...fix the sides...and on and on....
Well ,you get the idea.
Then I remembered, we learned "borders" last week! I could "fix" the top at class with some sort of border! Yeah me!
This lesson, we learned roses. Because I wanted to be "thrifty" I didn't make new frosting, I choose to use what I had refrigerated from last week's lesson. BIG mistake...
Thus the kind of yucky colors....
And...the rose red was really too soft for roses, so mine kinda look like those ones made out of tomatoes at fancy restaurants.
I borrowed the peach-colored frosting from Heather. Her's was the correct consistency . It was much firmer and easier to use.
Can you say .......YUM-O.....???
Have fun. Slow down....take a class just because you've always wondered about it but were too busy to try...
And it's ALWAYS more fun with a friend! Thanks Heather!

Ooooo! Your roses look awesome! When I did mine, the consistency wasn't right so they didn't look as good. Bravo on your cake class!
