I saw Jimmy Durante in the ladies room @ work...

I did.  Really.

OK, let me go back...

My sister , Sister Kathleen Mary of the Order of the SullivanSisters 3, taught me {and apparently my daughter April}..that when one is um..pre-occupied in the rest room...

..one had no choice than to look at the floorboards..and the floors..so be sure they are clean and dusted at all times..

And, she was right.  One doesn't have much to look at while "occupied" unless you bring in reading material, and because we only have one powder room..that is NOT allowed.

And it's true at work as well. They tend to frown when you go "in" with a book...

So, while in there today, I saw Jimmy Durante.  In the tile.  In the floor. You know..that fakey-marbley-brownish-color-12X12-tile?

Yeppers.  Jimmy Durante..nose and all.  It was a profile shot.  Unmistakable.

But of course, sometimes I see things that no one else does.  In clouds.  In tree bark.  In nuts. Sand.  Pavement. Soup..remember this ROOT on a tree by our house?? Freakaziod!!

So, I wasn't all surprised to see him.  Rather delighted as he was looking the other way..from me...while I was pre-occupied.
 {ewww..}

It's funny 'cos when I went back in to look again.he was gone.  But a really big silly bear with 2 teeth was in there.

Hmmm..wonder who I'll see and where..next?

Have a good week-end.

And you thought I needed coffee filters. This is just too weird, Colleen. Is that a real tree root with that obsessed face on it? I'm just speechless. Jimmy Durrante, huh? But then he was gone? ugh! Have a good weekend, sweet lady.

I can understand that. I am always seeing things in the tile in the bathroom at work. First thing I noticed was this smiley face. Then eventually I spotted a horse with a mane, mountain, a goat, a cow etc. Kind of depends on which tile and which way one is looking at it. Have not shared that with anyone yet....at work that is. They would surely think I was off my rocker. Not to mention they probably think that anyway!

I had an image on our bathroom door that looked like a face. I'd stare at it, it was so eerie looking. The bark face is too weird though! Looks like it should be holding an ax. Icckkk!!

Happens to me all the time...in the drape and fold of a curtain, in the pattern of the leaves. Eww is right on that tree root. That's a total shiver for me. Love your pet dolphin in the clouds there, too.

I love the way your mind works, Colleen!
At the university where I work, they have advertising signs on the back of the stall doors, so that's what you have to look at, like it or not. It was a little disconcerting when the advertising panel featured a photo of me and my workmates shown inviting everyone to come visit us in the bookstore! Having one's workmates look on as you tinkle, is a most curious sensation...LOL!!

Glad you liked my little studio. I grabbed the wellies as soon as I saw them, but they don't show up very often. Have a great weekend...:)

I'd say anyone with your great imagination will never be bored!
I'm going to remember to try this whenever I'm sitting somewhere with nothing else to do but stare into space-I'm sure it will make the time go by so much faster!

OH NO! You found him!! Ya, that isn't a tree root at all. It's my EX! And he's surfaced...again! Hurry, go kick some dirt back on him before more of his creepiness emerges!! EEEWWWW....

As for Jimmy, be glad he had the decency to fade away and not watch:)

A bear for sure.....

Funny stuff! We had some great clouds yesterday, my husband even pointed out a face. My husbands aunt actually knew Jimmy Durante when she worked in a very nice hotel in Chicago. She was even invited to dinner with Frank Sinatra after her husband had passed away. Anyway we saw Jimmy and have his autograph on a menu!

I just love the way you think. I have a beautiful wood ceiling in our bedroom. On the ceiling just above where I sleep there are marks that look like an angel taking flight. I like that she is there. Especially when I wake during an earthquake. :-)

Found you through a comment you left because you sounded like my kind of blogger - I was right (when am I NOT?) Just joined. Love your blog and your seeing Jimmy D in tile.

Wanna see what I've been up to ??
