Didja ever...??

..have a dream and when you woke up & realized it was a dream..found yourself ...disappointed??

No, not THAT kind of dream..no, nonononono..
Like last night, or was it this morning??..

I dreamed that I was at an estate sale..a really, really cool estate sale.

You know, one where the house is soo great..not like a huge McMansion..more like a sweet {but roomy} home..

{image found on gordonites.blogspot.com/...beautiful, huh?!}

One where you can see yourself living?  With windows in the kitchen?   Yeah..

Anyway, there were some great things..and I, as usual, went into the basement and the garage {I have found some of the funnest things in the furthest places..out of sight of the expensive china and fru fru that some people will pay too much money for?}

So there was this old dresser drawer..pink and scalloped..really cute..with these dividers that I could see holding pretty bits & bobs for my cloth books and projects..and a doll.

A' Stief' 'doll..don't they just make teddy bears in real life?? Anyway..the person I was shopping with {hi Sacha!} was looking at it too.  It was $10 and I found myself telling her how it would look cute in her house..

..then changing my mind and being tOTalY disappointed that she actually was going to purchase it!  Soooo disappointed.. :-(
Anyway, if I see a pink-scalloped-single-drawer-with-compartments...it's MINE...

..I'm just sayin'...

I love estate sales. But not just any ole' estate sale. Because lots of garage/yard sales are sold as Estate Sales. And they're not. It's gotta be old houses, lived in forever so I can just go in and breathe in the history and the architecture.

And isn't it weird that you actually can have that ache just as if the dream had been real? I have written about a recurring dream that is somewhat similar to yours. I wander in my great-grandmother's home having her permission to take anything I want. I love that dream.

The dream of going to a really good estate sale is almost as good as the one I have...winning the lottery...sometimes it is so real and I wake up still poor!...I think your dream has better odds...never know!

I have this re-occuring dream about this big, wonderfully old house with rooms that I keep discovering. They just go on forever...It is better in the dream than I make it sound here. I love those kinds of dreams. Love to you, sweet lady.

Most of the dreams I remember are so much more interesting than my real life. And, yes, it is disappointing to wake up to my boring, regular life! :)

I don't think going to an estate sale would be my DREAM dream.....if you know what I mean. But I'm glad you had a dream you enjoyed and shared it with us.

I've done the same thing Colleen! Really I must learn to keep my mouth shut, grab what I love and leave every man for himself! I've lost out too many times by saying "oh wouldn't that look cute in your" No more!

Colorful dreams and you remember them, not everyone does. Sounds to me that you are going "estate saling" this weekend in search for a pink dresser drawer. And if you can "dream" the future, wow, you might have an unknown talent there ♥

That is a great dream. I usually wake up thanking God that it was just a dream!

Wanna see what I've been up to ??

 I always wanted a dollhouse. My dad was a carpenter and was asked by one of his wealthy customers to make a dollhouse for their daughter. I...
