Did the laundry on Saturday, soooo..Sunday was for...

Crafting..oh yeah..

Didja ever have a "wish book" when you were a kid?  How about a scrap book ..that was a "scrap" scrapbook...v/s a photo-scrapbooking scrapbook?

Me too!

But I haven't really had one for a while..and I thought.."well, I colored in all my new coloring books...I had my play-date with my Zumba classmates..made my bed...why not?!

So I found a book I had actually made ...uh huh..I MADE this book...

..out of..book-stuff....cardboard..cover paper..ribbon and pages..and then I bound it myself....ohyesIdid..

Well, there you have it..it was an empty book..

what's sadder than an empty book, I ask you??

OK, maybe having brownies just baked and having already eaten your Weight Watcher's points for the  week  day??

..or..having a great hair day and not seeing aNyOne at all...

Oh yeah..

So, here's what I did..read, mark, cut, glue...enjoyed...now I have a wish book..and inspiration book..a.there's-nothing-to-do-and-nothing-on-TV-and-nothing-to read-and-and-no-new-magazines-to-read-book..

Hope you like it..

Now, go find those scissors, get out the glue stick..dig out your old Country Living magazines..old calendars from years past..and make yourself a book and find yourself the owner of a "first edition, best seller ..one-of-a-kind grown-up wish book...

Great book Colleen! I need to put one of these together instead of keeping so many magazines stacked up.

Ador-a-ble! You have a wonderful idea there, Can I order from your wishbook? My mom told me Sears Wishbook is where she got my baby brother one year. My dad worked for Sears for 35 years. There were 5 of us kids fighting over who got to mark their favoites in the Wishbook next when my dad brought home the "new" edition.

What an awesome idea Colleen! One I'm taking you up on! I love your wishbook, and I remember Sears Wish book that I couldn't wait to circle in. Every year for 4 years, I circled Bare Skin Baby. And every year I got a substitute. If I could find one now I'd have it!

I remember that picture on the front of the Sears Wishbook! Do they do a wishbook anymore?

Just found you, and your glue stick. Thanks for following Dovecote Decor and leading us into your world! Your book is lovely. I have a few, and they are so pretty, I never want to write in them. I resolve to get them out and use them!

Fabulous! I started something like this last year with a cheap composition notebook from WalMart -- but kinda got sidetracked with it. I need to get out all my supplies and start another inspiration book. Thanks for sharing! Have a great week. :) Tammy

I remember sitting for HOURS going through the Sear Wishbook as a kid! Thanks for stirring that memory Colleen.
You have quite a talent with all your crafts. I have never seen anything quite like your books, but then again, I lead a sheltered life LOL.
Your wishbook is wonderful.
