...ppffftttt..
Astala bye-bye..
..gone but not forgotten..
..double mastectomy... years ago..and yes, I'm still here. { I have a gift for stating the obvious, don't you think??}
Figured if I had to say good bye to the "girls" as well as their distant cousin, Ms. Uterus..thanks to the Big C..I needed to find the UP side.
{have you seen the Big C on Showtime?? I love it!}
And there really is an up-side.
No costly bras....
No visiting from Mother Nature at odd times..
..none of that feeling that as soon as you get home you're gunna take off your bra an b.r.e.a.t.h.e...
..no wishing you could just unscrew them and put the on the dresser at night..(be careful of what you wish for..)
But every once in a while..I do dream..
Ah well...
Anyway..seems if I was born in the 20's {so I could wear these in the 40's...) I'd be right in style..
So, the next time you have a mammogram..
..just remember...

{doncha think it's weird for this model to be a guy??? Eekkk..}
Have a great day and be thankful for the little things..or in some cases..the biggie-sized-double-D's..

Oh boy...my girls are goin' as soon as the insurance company decides to let me do it. I'm so sick of packin' those around. I do not understand AT ALL why anybody would want to pay good money for enlargements.
I'm totally with Lucy...I dream of being able to run again and still remain conscious...every stride is rearranging the jello molds...
You are one brave sister...and a riot too!!!
The pics below make me smile, there are just some things more important than boobs!!!
s
I never had boobies my middle name was "fried eggs" then the babies came and I got boobies and now I don't want them anymore. I'm so confused....
What a great attitude you have! I am so glad you are still here to share this with us! My only other comment is I think men should have to have "MANograms" (if you know what I mean) so they would have a better understanding of what we go through! lol
Mrs B, thinking about what you said makes me so jealous! You are free :P
i love how you look at things. might as well find the good in everything. one can be nasty and negative or laugh and be positive. thanks for being the later! have a great one!!!
I'm very big-chested too, but I would never envy anyone having to have a double-mastectomy to get rid of them! My Mom died from breast cancer, so every day I'm very thankful for my big "girls".
Again, a most wonderful post!! I love your attitude and I'm going to work on mine! It's been in the toilet lately :)
But YOU are still here and that's what we love most.
It is your humor and positive nature that has your glass to overflowing. Thanks for sharing! Best wishes, Tammy
Sending you breast wishes and a double D cup thank you for your humor!
Boobies and bras have always been a pain. I'm thinkin' you are a free woman, Colleen!!!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my post - love you right back!

there is way more to a woman than boobs.....I think boobs are overated........after losing my mom to breast cancer at only 56 I would have no problem saying, "just get rid of the darn things." I am glad you are here with or without boobs.......
Hi Colleen,
I agree with Melinda and thanks for your great post!!Do take the collage coterie workshop it's just wonderful and I'm sure you love it.
So glad your here!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Marie
The important thing is that you are here to entertain us. We love you Colleen. ((HUGS))
So glad you beat the Big C and are still here, Colleen! The world is definitely a better place with you in it to make us laugh and to remind us of what's really important in our lives.
Thanks for being you!
Lynette
