Would you like an autograph ?? Hahahahahaa!

Didja know when I was in New York..I was interviewed by PBS television for their piece on the developer/designer of the park,  Frederick Law Olmsted, whose firm designed and built nearly 100 public parks, including Central Park and Prospect Park?

Well..I was..you can watch my interview here...

Watch the full episode. See more Station Promos.

..and here..

Watch the full episode. See more Station Promos.

{They did one segment at the beginning then again at the end..}.

Hmm..who knew????

It was cool..and I really was sooo totally impressed by the park.  I'd seen it for*ever but had never been.

And on TV and the movies, it still didn't show how pretty and green it was...there were several weddings going on....

and the this photo, shot by Brandi from WAAAAY far back with her telephoto lens..it was soo funny! I saw this guy with wings..and told her to get a close up..

...apparently, the person taking his picture either didn't realize this was behind him..or wanted to do a photo-bomb...

And who can forget the animals of Central Park?  Not Brandi and I...

So, here's a last photo...one I found that speak volumes of love, romance, happiness and commitment..

Have a wonderful tomorrow..and all your tomorrows..

I had no idea how beautiful this park was, I've only heard the bad things that happened. What a joy this was to see, I especially loved the video of you! Yes send me a autograph. LOL

Awesome Colleen, what a great surprise! Your pictures are so beautiful, I want to be in the middle of Central Park myself!

You cutie patootie! What a sweet voice, too. I must say that this interviewed group of people are some of the most articulate I've heard describing the park in such esoteric ways. Gorgeous mosaics and I love that last sign. You're such a romantic at heart.

Woohoo, Colleen the celebrity. I couldn't get your videos to work but I did get the whole interview to wrk.
The park looks better than I imagined. Lovely colours and a variety of landscapes.

Well I'm just in awe. I would never have done that. I would never want somebody to "see" me. Kudos!

I loved putting a voice to your sweet face. You ARE such a celeb...I've been to the edge of Central Park but didn't go in. Wish I had. It always reminds me of "you've got mail" when they meet at the end. (I'm such a schlump.) Beautiful pictures. (You know I just can't believe how someone can shoot such great pics. Sigh!)

Thank you Colleen, for your comment. It pushed me to write a new post. To explain, or to try to explain my views.

Thank you!

Please let me explain...

Hi Colleen! You looked GOOD!! What a beautiful park. I have never walked around in that park but I would love to do that one day. I am sorry about the PayPal thing.

OT but...

One more item of interest...

Remember that Martin Luther King Jr. quote, which you commented with, in my blog?

It's fake.

But, it "grew like topsy" on the Net, and here is a link, about the anatomy of a false quote.

Gentle hugs...

Have spent lots of time in Central Park. I worked in Manhattan for many years. I think many people don't realize how BIG it is -- over 840 acres and includes ice skating rinks, a pool, a conservatory, a zoo, wildlife sanctuary, theaters, a historic carousel, playgrounds, walking/biking tracks and horse drawn carriages!

Deborah
