However, the worst thing is the morning I had to say.."good bye, Sweetie-bug, see you later"..
Thank you Sweetheart, for sharing your bed, for teaching me Barbies, for playing "Sweet-n-Low and silverware Tic-tac-toe" and for loving me..I promise I will be back soon..
Grammie loves Ella soooooo much!

You sure had fun and racked up a pile of memories but your last pictures brought a tear to my eye. They grow so quickly while your away from them. Fox will be ONE next week.
oh my..the litle one at the end! I love that tic tack toe set up..will have to use that next time with Mr. Gates (not B)...he is a kid at heart.
Ohhh poooor Ella!!!!!!!!
But!!!! What a boost for Grandma!
Come on, face it. We Grandmas can use any "strokes to our ego," we can get. I know. That's mean, as it came at the expense of little girl's tears.
But........ She has great memories, of great fun with a great Grandmom!
"Today, Justice"
I held my breath!!!
Expecting a reinstatement of the *dreaded* Word Ver.
But no!
Oh Happpppppppppy Day!!! :-)
"Today, Justice"
Parting is such sweet sorrow....
Thankfully we have cameras, phones, memories...and Skype:)
Thanks for sharing this Colleen.
I know, it's so hard to leave them. I love the picture at the end. sniff! I love the "parting" shot of both backsides too. Do they ever come out West to see you? I hope you feel stronger and ready to tackle those home duties.
ohhhh so sad. maybe the key to that is to not be such a dang fun grandma. nah, it's worth it. it looks like you had so much fun. i would be crying right there along with ella!
Oh what fun you have had. Love all the pics. That last one though really got to me. So hard to leave.
I'm sitting here crying for Ella, poor baby she loves her Grammie so much! It kills me when my grans cry too. Thanks Colleen for all your wonderful comments on my blog. Hugs, Pearl
Awww I feel for Ella, and you too Colleen, but you look like the funnest Gramma ever. Parting is such sweet sorrow isn't it? Thanks for sharing all the fun and laughter with us. Welcome Home!
So hard to be a far-away Grandma. I'm so lucky my Emmy-bean is right down the street!
Looks like you ARE the best grandma ever (next to ME that is)! But I would never willingly shake my booty for a camera so you win! Your little one's tears show that you both had a great time together and that she hated to think of being without you. How awful it would have been if she hadn't shed a tear! Did the boyz in the hood shed a tear too?
Oh Colleen, you have shown me just what kind of magic to expect when my little grandbaby is finally born. I dread the distance between us but I can clearly see it won't make a difference in love. So glad you had such a good visit with Ella. Savor the memories. ~Kathy
The pictures are wonderful. Looks like a fun trip. Are those tears from when you were leaving? :(
goodbyes are so hard.....
