Just a quickie...

..no, not that kind..

Hey, you know what a "quickie" is?

It's scarfing down a Hershey's bar in the grocery parking lot before you drive away :-)
(not that I've EVER done that...)

Anyway, we went to the Orthopedic doctor today and this is the x-ray of Mr. B's collarbone (clavicle)

Those 2 bones? They're supposed to be one long bone..

Seems when it first broke, it was a clean break and would just show a bone that was split in two..like this _ _

But with moving, airplanes, cars, walking, etc. (which the first doc not only said he could do but encouraged..) the bone(s) shifted..sort of like one train running full speed into another. One usually goes up..like the x-ray..

So, surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday. The new doctor (specialist) seems quite good and told us Mr. B would feel better right away. It involves pins and rods and at that I think I stopped listening..

He said the ribs were doing fine..there's really nothing they can do but try to manage the pain..

As for me, I went back to work today to 1125 emails..yep..you read correctly..

Ahh, just think of it as job security :-)

Friday is a holiday in Utah (Pioneer Day) so this will be a short week and a 3-day week-end. Just what we need to really get back on track by Monday.

Hope you are enjoying the summer days and remember them when we're complaining about the cold...

Yeah, but you don't have to shovel sun..

Okay, but you can add layers in the cold and you can get only so naked in the heat...

But you can wear cute flip flops in the summer...

Yes, but cuter (concealing) outfits in the winter..

Wait, I'm arguing the pros and cons of the seasons with....me.

Go figure..
