... home..
...and loving it :-)
However, I think it may just be "catching up" with me..
I feel quite rum-dum as they say.
Tired..
..and a wee bit..uh.. cranky.
I will write more, and wittingly so {hopefully} after some rest..
But because I have never really been on "this" side of care-giving, about the only thing I can liken it to is...
..having a baby..
Not the actual "having" a baby..but the few days {weeks} home after the birth..
DISCLAIMER: the following said with much love and deep respect...(and a bit tongue-in-cheek)
..it's like having a baby...seriously..
..that can talk..
..a very big baby that "remembers" things at the oddest of times..
..like after the 4:48am meds...
"Oh, we need to go on-line and pay so-in-so.."
"Okay, in the morning..."
"but you'll forget.."
"nah, I'll probably remember.."
{insert HEAVY sigh..}
"Oooookay..I'll go pay it now.."
"Oh and can I have some water....and my back itches..and the sheets are crinkled...."
Bless his heart..you know I love the 'ol guy....Tonzzzz!
Yes, he's up..and dressed..and walking. We had to buy way-big clothes to make it easier to get on and off..but hey, they match..kinda like "Gr-Animals"!
Remember, trying to squeeze little-chubby feet into socks and shoes? You ought to try size 11's..
..and getting them all ready to like go out in the snow? Bundled and warm..and they go out for about 5 minutes? And then you have to do it all in reverse??
Well, picture that, in the summer, with sunblock, shades, and shorts..
..and yes, the shorts are pull-ups..one-handed zippers are a real..pain..{no pun intended..}

So glad that you are home!! Randy looks great! Enjoy some rest and puttering in your own space. Love you guys!
All in all....he doesn't look too bad for a toddler. You know how demanding they can be when they learn to walk. Seriously. I've VERY glad you are home and that he is alive, healthy and on the way to being more healthy, and you two are still together. Many blessings there.
You two look pretty dern good for all you've been through. Not sure I would go through all that just to be able to wear baggy clothes! Mr. B. looks like he is keeping a smile on his face (you do too). Glad to be on local soil, now just time to heal... Naps in the afternoon are great. Gives you more energy for that 3:00am feeding!
Glad to see you home safe and sound if not worn out you poor old thing. I bet you are doing a wonderful job as carer but remember to take some time out for yourself and try and eat and sleep properly or else you will slide down the slippery slope to ill health yourself. Take care try to smile.
Glad you are home. The hubster looks great! Glad he is on the mend!!
You are a riot, love your blog!
Darla♥
Yay! You are home. There's NO PLACE LIKE HOME! Glad to see Mr.B. is doing better.
See, I told you that at some point you would find some humor in the situation. Good to see him among the ambulatory again!
How are the puppies after such a long separation?
Home again, home again tweedle dee dee! Isn't it great to be back home amongst your own things where you can relax. Well, sort of...with a patient it's not always easy to relax, but at least you're home! : )
Behave!

What an ordeal you 2 have been thru! I'm sure it feels good to be home and you will both settle back in soon. You have both been in my thoughts. Jean
YAY!!! I am so glad your in sandy! The first thing I did today was run over to your desk to hug you hello! . . . But. . . You weren't there! I guess I will just have to remain colleenless for a couple more days :(
Love you,
Linds
Wonderful to know that you are both home. Hope that the big guy takes it easy on you for a while. You need a break, too, after all. NOOOO, not that kind of a break. Time out. Be naughty and get a time out. ;>
I'm so glad you are home. I hope you can get some rest now. You both have been in our thoughts.
So glad to see your hubby upright...and happy that you're both home safely.
Now that you are home, I hope you're feeling better than rum-dum soon. It's hard to take care of someone, and it's hard to be taken care of. I'm sure you're both ready to be UP and AT IT again. And you will be soon. Hugs from here...
