"Tis a wonderful week to have rose-colored glasses...

I don't really have any rose-colored glasses...but I feel like I do walk around with them on..sometimes..well..most of the time.

Had a guy at work today, I've talked about him before, Brad, the tall guy who can see over the tops of the cubicles and still be sitting down?

Yeah, him. Anyway, Sacha and I were talking today about our plans on Thursday to deliver meals-on-wheels for the Salvation Army..

Now, before you say how nice that is..this is the very first time for either of us. I usually have a house full for our regular-timed-Thanks-mas (we had it early this year) and she usually goes to Colorado to be with her family. So, it's not we're THAT good..we just felt the timing was right this year to stop saying we'd sometime like to do it... and just...DO IT. Maybe we'll start a new tradition..one too long coming...

So, I was saying something about going to the dollar store to pick up some little Thanksgiving decorations that we could deliver with their meals so they have at least one Thanksgiving decoration, when Brad said his "teeth were starting to hurt...too much sweet-talk"..

Bwwaaahhahahaaa!

So, yeah, I do have rose-colored glasses..or cornias..or pupils..whatever....

But anyway, here's my "PinkfortheWeek" offering:

This is a little tin I found for some sewing supplies. Not really old, but I loved the image...

Now, this is an old pink sewing basket. I love this - it has little "pegs" for the thread and some old patterns.. and an embroidered dresser scarf..a little stained..but probably has a story or two to tell...

Some pink paper flowers on a shelf in my craft room - waiting ...WAITING...for me to do something cute with them..

The I spotted this little "Sisters" album with some older photos of one of the Bi-Annual Gathering of the Girls - this time it was in Colorado..see the pink ribbon on the next shelf...waiting. WAITING to be used?

I love little kid books. This one's a real cutie. I love Mrs. McNosh...great colors, huh?!

A photo of Missy-Pink-Pants-and-Crocs Ella Ireland meeting a little puppy- nose to nose..

And, lastly, Emily Amanda, looking particularly adorable in her pink sweater..
So, yes, I love to look at the world with "rose-colored-glasses"...always have...always will..
Tell me, what do you see in YOUR rose-colored glasses?

Lovely 'pink post' - and those sweet little girls!!!

Going back to the hair post - gracious you are making me remember all the things I went through to have that "crowning glory". Remember - they always told us that's what good hair was. The dry shampoo was awful - made hair look dull and, well, DRY! The bonnet hairdryers - I used to have a night out, then wash and roll and sleep all night with that dang thing on my head in bed, set on low, so I'd be ready for school/work! A wonder I wasn't fried or electrocuted!!!

Thanks for the memories Colleen.

I love your pink sewing accoutrement! I've even got a little tin like that one in blue. But I really love the vintage sewing basket with the pegs for thread!

Happy Pink Saturday!

You tied together all your photos so nicely with the rose-colored glasses theme. Loved it. Do you enjoy real flowers?
