The “Soup Natzi” I am NOT..

..however, a Soup Nut I AM… I love soup. Love loVe lOove LoVe l-o-v-e soup. Especially creamy, yummy, decadent soup.
Thick and rich. Isn’t that a country duo??
Oh, yeah..that’s Big & Rich…sorry..sort of the same thing, though..
When I traveled for my job, I had a Regional Manager who knew every great place to get soup in any city you could think of. All across America. In every mall or hick town or big city.. And we went to many.
Many many many many…

...and, as some of you know, I am a “recreational eater”..yep. We go to restaurants like other people go to movies. Or drink. Or fish. Or bet on the horses..
OK, you get my drift.
Anyway, I can be completely satisfied with a good soup, accompanied by a good salad and one slice of bread to mop it all up.
So, when I found some good soups that are low in WW points, and low in calories, but high in flavor and texture (and a serving of veggies!) I thought I should share.
V-8

Uh-huh.
Good old V-8 is now putting out some great soups. The Progresso are good but rather thin – sort of like drinking the veggies and the water they were cooked in..

The V-8 are thick and equally convenient – they can sit on the shelf (or in an office drawer..)

Oh, don’t get me wrong…I’d rather have a full-bodied bisque made with real cream..a Tomato Basil with croutons…a French Onion (hey, Applebee’s WW French Onion is pretty good)…

But, I don’t want that “Oh-I-shouldn’t-have-had-that” feeling afterwards.

So, here’s me enjoying my soup. And no, I’m not getting a kick-back from V-8…wait..maybe I should contact them…free soup anyone??

Hi Colleen - I'm trying to catch up with y'all!!!! Love your haircut - wish I had the nerve to do wash & wear - I hate the darned blow dryer time waster! You really look cute.

I made soup today, in fact make it several days a week because we love it too. I only make vegetarian soups and they are delicious even though I say so myself.....and of course dh does too. Soup and a piece of a great French baguette - that's all I need for a perfect meal. I'd not heard of the V-8 soups, will check them out and see if any are vegetarian.

Soup is something I can take or leave. No special fondness or non-fondness for it. However. On a very cold day, it's something I crave. Especially tomato soup for some reason. Those days are few and far between here in AZ.
