Double sunsets and sunrises...

I think I may have told you previously, we live in the center of a valley, surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges - the Wasatch and the Ochers.

And, because of where we are situated, we often have the pleasure of 2 sunsets and 2 sunrises...two to the East and two to the West..
This is tonight, Sunday evening, looking toward the Ocher mountains to the west...as it should be..with the whole "sun rises in the East and sets in the west" thingy..
Another "normal" western facing shot from our yard...

But wait..what's this? We're looking East now...

The sun was playing peek-a-boo on the Wasatch range

Again, toward the East at 5:30 pm...

Nice, huh?

This is just one of the gorgeous sunsets we've seen - one each side..

I hear "fire pits" are big this year...looks like God wanted one too..and He didn't even have to have a fire- just snow and sunshine...

Kinda looks like a sunshine bra...hahahahhaa...

And, finally, an old truck we saw on this same walk..
..I just liked it..
..so here's to double sunsets and double dipped cones and double-bubble bubble gum..

Have a fun Monday...

Yes, I know it's not...

...still Pink Saturday.....

......that I already posted for Pink Saturday...and it's not called Pink Sunday...

...but seriously. Seriously..how could I not post these photos of my sister Gerri and her new pup, Molly, dressed alike?

Serioulsy...??

OK, so the "dressed alike" thing was purely coincidental..
Gerri is more like a "dogs live outside with the horses" kind of gal..
But serioulsy..can anyone look at that darling face and not have her in the house??
Seriously cute..
Seriously.

I know...I know....

...boy oh boy..some people!

They sign-up for Pink Saturday" from Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/...

Then they stay up all night with a bad tummy and a bad case of "I-gotta-clean-my-art-room-at-2-in-the-morning" and sleep right through the post-time..

Geesh...

OK ,OK that would be...moi as Miss Piggy (who is also pink ) would say..

So, here are some pink-flavored images, some you may even wish to use in your own artwork...

Is "Max Factor" still around??

"Somebody put a curtain on my head..."

No soo pink..but soo cute...

(apparently this was Gladys...pre-Pips)

Now, where is that place I get all my Quill Pens?? Oh yeah, Cornelissen & Son..

So from me and my sisters...........................hahahaha...............just messin' with ya..but if it were, I know which one I'd be....the sassy one on the left lookin' straight eyed- into the camera..(plus she looks like she may just break into a smile at any minute...well, then again..maybe not so much...

Have a wonderful week ahead and thanks for stopping by..

This was one of the best-worst days we've had!

Worst because we miss the rest of the family who is normally here for the entire week-end..(they came earlier this year, but it was only for 1 night and 1 full day..) We're thankful we got to see them at all and I don't want to sound ungrateful..

..but we missed the 4 extra dogs, the kids, the scurry of activity, the fool ball game on TV, the BIG plans for Black Friday shopping in the wee hours of the morning...

....however, it was the BEST day because of our day at the Salvation Army taking hot Thanksgiving meals to seniors in a Senior Apartment building..

Here's Sacha and Mr. B unloading the hugs box filled with 11 hot, nutritious, wonderful Thanksgiving dinners...
Mr. B said he's "just drive" but he's one of the good guys and helped pack the meals, load the car, tote the box and wait patiently in the hall while Sacha and I delivered, visited, hugged and enjoyed all the wonderful seniors we got to meet.

This was a day where we "got" so much more that we "gave"...and we are better people tonight for it..

The senior building was 10 stories and was as neat as a pin...

We will never forget our day at the Wasatch Mannor..and hope they'll be so kind next year and allow us to come back and visit..

By the time we were finished, we realized smelling all that wonderfulness, we were hungry..

So we went to a local buffet where they pride themselves in their "just like home" cooked meals..and it was wonderful. Good food, good service and good company..what more could one ask for on this most wonderful of days of thanks??
When we got home, we decided to put up the small tree we got for this year..we decided to go "small"..you know, the whole "simplify" thing...

So we put it on the corner table in the front room..

Placed beloved toys and family photos around it and called it...done!

We have so much, and so much to be thankful for...

We hope to be a reflection of what Christmas is meant to be..loving, kind and...so very grateful!
Happy beginning of the Holiday season to you all..
