This was one of the best-worst days we've had!

Worst because we miss the rest of the family who is normally here for the entire week-end..(they came earlier this year, but it was only for 1 night and 1 full day..) We're thankful we got to see them at all and I don't want to sound ungrateful..

..but we missed the 4 extra dogs, the kids, the scurry of activity, the fool ball game on TV, the BIG plans for Black Friday shopping in the wee hours of the morning...

....however, it was the BEST day because of our day at the Salvation Army taking hot Thanksgiving meals to seniors in a Senior Apartment building..

Here's Sacha and Mr. B unloading the hugs box filled with 11 hot, nutritious, wonderful Thanksgiving dinners...
Mr. B said he's "just drive" but he's one of the good guys and helped pack the meals, load the car, tote the box and wait patiently in the hall while Sacha and I delivered, visited, hugged and enjoyed all the wonderful seniors we got to meet.

This was a day where we "got" so much more that we "gave"...and we are better people tonight for it..

The senior building was 10 stories and was as neat as a pin...

We will never forget our day at the Wasatch Mannor..and hope they'll be so kind next year and allow us to come back and visit..

By the time we were finished, we realized smelling all that wonderfulness, we were hungry..

So we went to a local buffet where they pride themselves in their "just like home" cooked meals..and it was wonderful. Good food, good service and good company..what more could one ask for on this most wonderful of days of thanks??
When we got home, we decided to put up the small tree we got for this year..we decided to go "small"..you know, the whole "simplify" thing...

So we put it on the corner table in the front room..

Placed beloved toys and family photos around it and called it...done!

We have so much, and so much to be thankful for...

We hope to be a reflection of what Christmas is meant to be..loving, kind and...so very grateful!
Happy beginning of the Holiday season to you all..

Great post! We should all remember who is less fortunate than we are. Tree looks great.

Looks as though you had a busy and fulfilling day. You made so many people happy. "Good on ya!"

The tree looks great! Even better than you described it. It just wasn't the same this year for Thanksgiving since we could not be there. It was just too quite and no fun having to go to work the next day. Glad you were able to do something so rewarding and so needed this year. Love ya!

You're way ahead of me, but I came looking for pink. Happy Pink Day.
