Anyway, I had one.
On a bun with mustard and onions and a little celery salt.
Yum-O
Then, after dinner, while cleaning up, I spotted one left-over. There were 2 buns left - but just one hot dog...what's up with that anyway??
( I sort of 'sear' the hot dogs instead of boiling them. And they taste wonderful - right from the pan, all crunchy-like and salty...)
Somethings taste salt-ier than what you think they should..maybe it's because I have been
"off" salt for a while...at least "table added" - I use to have a little food with my salt, if you know what I mean..
Anyway, while cleaning up after dinner, and sneaking that last yummy seared hot dog right from the pan, choosing to fore-go the bun...I thought,
"This can't be good for me"
Duh..
...have I seen TV lately? Northing's good for you...not food ...not the air...now working...not NOT working...
Then I thought about our ancestors - hard working...went to sleep at dusk and awoke at dawn...ate nothing but farm-fresh produce - corn-fed beef...non-hormone eggs...got plenty of exercise by walking to church every Sunday and working the farm, ranch, factory, whatever.
No smog, no stress, no computers, cell phones, text-messaging, microwaves or convection ovens...
Ah yes, the good life......that ended at, oh, about....45 years...
Yes, for all the "junk food", the lazy lifestyle, the stress-inducing contraptions, AND the seared, full-of-fat-Kosher hot dogs eaten right out of the pan...we all have a life expectancy of 80+ years..
Go figure...
Well, I'm off to have my cup of extra-caffeine-induced-coffee-like-beverage with artificial sweetener, man-made non-cream-creamer and grab a taco from Taco Bell...
And plan my next 25 years of FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are having W-A-A-A-Y too much fun here...
Have a fun Saturday!-me
(no- this is not me....and she's probably about 35 years old here.and never touched a drop of coffee in her life....LOL!)

Thanks Colleen, I can always depend on you for one of those gut wrenching gufaws...those faces are priceless and no truer words were uttered. Well, maybe I won't eat the last of the popcorn in the bowl, I'm riddled with guilt now, but it's organic and the salt is sea salt...and Scratchy ate most of it anyway...are you buying any of this...
the NUT

Can you hear me??? I am laugh so loud my hubby came to check on me. You find the best pictures. Now for the hot dog...those are soooo good. I like to burn them on the grill. REALLY crunch and salty!! Just too funny! I used to be a source for many, many jokes. When I met Jack, he told me he only knew one joke...are you ready?
What's a wahine? It's what you eat on a bu-hun with mu-hustard! Boy, did I groan; but, you know, I've come to love that joke since it's STILL the only one he tells.
Hope you had a great Saturday. I'm meeting Kathy this morning for coffee..I'll get to hear all about your visit! Love ya.
