OK..some book reviews..or ideas..or reccommends for you..

I'm reading a book on my phone..isn't that weird? On my phone??  Yep....phones are not just for talking anymore..that's for sure..

Anyway..the one I'm lovin' right now is The Chicken Chronicles...Sitting with the Angles
by Alice Walker..

And I'm totally loving it.  Any of you that have/want /love chickens/pets/animals/ need to read this..

Also, I ordered the next two books from the Ladybug Farm series.(not on my phone) ...{At Home on Ladybug Farm..and Love Letters from Ladybug Farm} and I got them on Amazon.com for super cheap..

I have found that if I look at the "used" book section, I can usually get what I want at a great price..and they are hardly ever..used..!

They are usually overstocks or something directly from the bookseller..like one I just got for a penny {!} and the cost of shipping {$3.99} and it came super fast ..

Finished reading Can't Wait to Get to Heaven by Fannie Flagg..totally loved it..sweet, funny with a hint of sad & touching..

Still trying to get in some painting time..not really getting too far.

Started enjoying the roses from Grandma Evelyn's garden..hope she doesn't mind me cutting some for work..{ Shhh...just don't tell her..she's still having a great time in Las Vegas with Robert & Colette}

OK..well that's about it for tonight.  Hope your week is amazing....exciting....joy-filled..and just plain FUN!

WoW Colleen! Glamming up your work space with "borrowed" roses and keeping busy with reading and painting. I've read some Fannie Flagg in the past -- like her style of writing. And have heard of Alice Walker but don't know if I've read anything. I have about 10 books on my bedside table that need to be finished this summer. :/ I love your sweet paintings. So lovely! I wish I could do that. Must dabble a bit and see what I can come up with. Thanks for inspiring! Have a terrific Thursday. Tammy

I always buy from the used books. I bought one for .01 and the shipping was three dollars. That's a ripoff that we won't go into I guess. I got one once that had many markings in it and they weren't nice comments. I thought I could read it by trying to not read the markings but it was impossible. I finally threw it away. Now I read the description more carefully. If it's marked, they usually mention it.

Gorgeous artwork and flower arrangements. You're so talented. I've read the Fannie Flagg book. Need to try out the others. I really need to read more closely. I thought Grandma was in Las Vegas seeing Robert Goulet. (sp?) Is he still alive even? I really need new glasses.

Your painting sessions seem so soothing though when I see you in the middle of one :) I love what you come up with too! Maybe you could do a painting tutorial sometime?

Hey Colleen, gonna jump on the bandwagon here and tell you how much I love your paintings. Shame you don't have more time, they are exquisite! Love the one with with the container.

Speaking of reading books on your phone, I recall years ago when the Sony Walkman and Talkman came out. It had this small screen and I used to work part-time at night so I'd bring it with me to work.

Anyway, I'd watch my favorite show (or one of my favorite shows) JEOPARDY and the men I worked with would tease me terribly saying, Oh no, she's watching JEP again...making fun of the small screen!

Oops, went down memory lane there but your phone as a book story reminded me of that story...
