It's snowing ....again :-)

..and my first thought, as I'm sipping my coffee this very early Saturday morning {thanks Lulu..but you know, I don't need to get up at 5am on Saturdays..just a reminder..) was "Not more snow...I'm ready for Spring."

{"Snow Day" by Ezra Jack Keates}

But as I sit here with my coffee this morning, while the rest of the house is fast asleep..{even my little alarm-clock-pup-Lulu has gone back to bed} I marvel at the beauty outside my front window..snow softly falling..the street light capturing the sparkles as they come down..

{this is not me...but sadly I do envy those eyebrows..}

And I am reminded to stop my whining and enjoy every moment.not to "wish" away the time by rushing spring to come and winter to be over and time to slip away from me, unnoticed, unappreciated.

{there, that's more like it..}

We rush our weeks on Mondays by wishing it were Friday..until that mournful Sunday night when we start the week over again..at our jobs..which, we forget, we are so blessed to have in this economy ..

The whole time we spend wishing our lives..our time..away.

I think I'll make a conscious decision to, if not enjoy, at least appreciate every single moment..every long day and every long season..

Aren't we lucky to start a new day, every day, with a chance to make it better?

{ I wish I had that cuddly-warm-red suit..}

Now, go out there and have a wondrous, long, beautiful Saturday.

And I'll go back to watching  loving Lulu  and the snow fall down in sparkly-diamonds on my world..

What a great attitude....and so true. I have to work this morning, and I was whining about it, but I think I will concentrate on how nice it is to work with a smaller staff on Saturday (and without the office PITA) and that I'm working with my good friend. We'll have fun together and chat the morning away.....between customers of course.

Wonderful attitude. I hope to emulate it. Maybe. I'm exhausted; Molly woke me at 6:20 and so, after reading Lulu's hours, I am grateful for that. Have a great weekend!

So nice to share a cuppa Joe with you this morning friend...as I too am loving SCRATCHY this early Saturday morn, as the flurries light on new fallen snow...IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!

However, I feel so blessed with my work, that I can do what I do, choose my hours and stay home and play EVERY DAY. It's a financial whirlwind to make ends meet, but I wouldn't change it for the world...it's in my numbers and I am in tune with them, so I listen!

Sorry, gotta run...Scratchy's gotta poop...!

Good post, Colleen...I do try to be grateful every day for the life I live...sometimes I think about going back to work outside the home but then i realize how much I would have to give up...I would rather make sacrifices (though they really aren't) to stay home than face Monday mornings every week...

I for one, don't like the snow but have learned to live with it. I like much better when I don't have to drive in it!! After all it is a four letter word

OK OK! Stop pushing sparkles and happy, wise thoughts on me. I'm deep in a *Purple Funk* here, over this, the "Long Time" of winter's end. Got 12.5 inches of the white stuff, on Friday. Bahhhhh-humbuggggg...

:-)

OK OK! I get the memo. No wishing time away. Actually I'm not doing that. Not pining for Spring. Just would like the snow and ice to magically disappear. No green grass has to be under it. Just-disappear!!! Ice. Snow.

-chuckle-

As if anything I wish, would make it happen! Hehhhhhhh... You do have the right attitude. And I will try to adopt it.

I will.

I will.

...............

Maybe this afternoon. -gigggles-

You guys are really gettin' your share of snow this year, right? If I was not so chicken to drive up there into it, I'd come up and we'd all have a party!

Oh my blogger friend Colleen, I sooo can relate to your "it's snowing...AGAIN!" feeling but rest assured, you'll be able to smell those roses in due time.

In the meantime, enjoy. I love watching snow fall, and I love the smell of the fresh fallen snow, and I love the quietness and hush when the snow falls...what I hate is the shoveling one must do, the cleaning off of the car that one must do, the need to hop into that car and head off to work... so like you have chosen to do, I enjoy the time I can b/c the 'hate' parts are on their way.

Have a good day my friend!

This is what happens when people mess with the groundhog! We are getting more snow today and I really don't mind it. I consider it little missiles from heaven. Sparkle and delight. You have a delightful weekend too!!!

In six months we'll be griping about how HOT it is, right? And you're right, enjoy it all as it comes...someday it won't. Stay warm Colleen.

What was in your coffee, this morning. You are on a high. Good for you. Send me some. I spent Saturday breaking my back pulling weeds out of my garden as my teenage help is coming to put down mulch tomorrow. I agree wholeheartedly with you. We do spend too much time wishing time away. I can't wait for my latest contract for intensive teaching to be over. Retirement is much more fun and relaxing and poor.

I've decided to adopt your positive outlook Colleen, I've been noticing too much lately how quickly time is passing, so to enjoy the moment and the beauty that goes with it is what it needs to be. Thanks for a great post!

I think that sounds like a great plan. I don't want to wish my life away!

Wanna see what I've been up to ??
