What has 10 fingers, 10 toes and a heart as big as all outdoors??

..Emily.  Yeppers, she's here and making me feel like a 10 year old again.

Yesterday, we serendipitously came across a wonderful pioneer-type gathering at Wheeler Farm ..we had decided the night before to go for an eearly (read: cool)  breakfast picnic.

Emily likes to have picnics on picnic blankets..not picnic tables. So, we stopped by our favorite McBreakfast place and got McPancakes and some McYogurt..and had ourselves a McPicnic.

We spotted booths being set up..saw the pony ride man, smelled the cotton candy and mini-doughnuts {of which we had no room for after McEating..}

So,  we got our faces McPainted..
..and found some great crafting,

Saw some fowl behavior...

We took photos..

Emily learned a lot of new-old things..

Like cow patty tossing, marbles, what an out-house looks like..

how to milk a cow {to practice on rubber gloves} feed the ducks, bean bag toss, and making a button whirligig game..

wHeW!
Then it was home and water coloring, and  to make Grandma Evelyn's cake for her 2nd birthday celebration..and to have a great evening with family, friends and the pups..

Hope you have a wonderful Monday and wait till you see what we did today!..Hint: it was SEW fun!!

Button Whirlygig games! We used to make these when we were kids, Dad taught us how, we called the Opiops. A birdy told me you ran into one of my CQI friends! What a small world! I love the photo mosaics, what a wonderful week-end!

Emily looks as if she's having a great time! You and Mr. B. must be exhausted. :D Sitting on the ground for a picnic...ahh, I remember those days. Wonderful face painting for both of you!

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday. And lucky for you that you happened to show up there just when they were getting ready for a fair.
