Yeah..well I've come this far and I don't want to be like one of thise orange inflatable boats that you pull the cord and...
WHOOSH! I'm round and chubby and unhealthy all over again..
Soooo..chocolates {in the quantities that I really want } are out of the question.
In the evenings, after dinner, I have been enjoying a cuppa tea..various flavored teas..but settled on English Breakfast..yes, at night..but when they are eating breakfast, I'm probably eating dinner, right?
Or is it the other way around?
Never mind. Doesn't matter.
But it still was..uh..lacking that "Oh! La! La!" feeling, you know?
Then I discovered....TaDa...
and, together with a few packs of Spenda...it becomes sorta like a hot, creamy...
Sorta...
But really, for a warm, soothing pepperminty-mocha-y drink on a cold winter's night..you can't beat it.
Yes, I know it has calories..and points..and is probably not the very best choice, but it beats devouring a whole lotta...
..and, after all, tea, especially English Breakfast is so, so, sooo, civilized..
..Um..I mean...
So, if you want a "not-too-bad-for-you-chocolaty-peperminty-" treat. have a cuppa..
..but hurry..I think this particular flavor is seasonal..

While in Boston, I drank hot chocolate whenever my cousin had Chi Tea Latte. I'm not much of a tea drinker. But I got sick of H.C by the third day and reluctantly took a sip of his Chi..I'm now an addict :)
Even bought me a cool thingy that makes it hot and foamy. YUM! I'll hafta try yours now too. Wallow in the cuppa :)
English breakfast is my favourite any time of day.
Sounds like you hit on just the right amount of comfort. enjoy!
My fave is the creme brulee...so yummy!
Glad you and Gail met up, she had such nice things to say:)
I've so been craving York peppermint patties or those thin mints they sell at Christmastime. I love the foods of this season and they love me--my butt, my upper arms, my boobs--fat depositories all. Sigh! I'm afraid to try the flavored creamers. I'd drink 'em straight or on the rocks. "Hello, I'm Jo Anne and I'm a foodaholic."
Sounds yummy!
I'm still walking, and lost another 2 lbs. I see the Dr. next week and a week later should hear if all this walking has reduced the cholestoral (sp?) & blood pressure. It's so easy to put those pounds on - how come it's so hard to take 'em off? :)
Wishing you a happy one, Colleen!

Something tells me that the people who live near you, are out of luck already, for that seasonal treat. Didn't you buy 'em all up, before posting this????????????

Now that sounds like a winner!
Have a wonderful weekend.
OH boy, now I have to try it! my problem is self control! I want to just put a straw in that jug and drink up! :)
When that's gone Colleen, try what I do. I make a cup of home made cocoa, the Hershey's baking cocoa, stevia, then add a bit of peppermint extract. Made with skim milk, it only counts as a milk. And it tastes soooo good, and satisfies the need for chocolate! Delicious! I've also used different extracts like almond, vanilla, or have stirred in some peanut butter. I can't have marshmallows, but real whipped cream just tops it off. Diabetic friendly too, for those who are counting the carbs. Enjoy!!
OHHH I will give that a try!! One of my fav's is Lady Grey tea.. ( maybe it has something to do with the name..:)
XOXO

I have such a hard time with those flavored things in the house, because the kids always want it mixed in their milk or hot chocolate...and we can't do "self pour" because then someone would get more than someone else and it would be gone in a day!
But it sounds lovely and quiet and relaxing when you post it!
...And you sleep??? I've heard of that...people having caffeinated drinks at night and not being bothered... just has never been my wide-awake-all-long-night experience if I venture to have a cup of that most delicious tea at night! I am impressed - but particularly with your chocolate substitute. I LOVE chocolate too...so really get the need. I've been trying hard candy lately - NOT the same thing!:)
