You know what they say...when the going gets tough..

...the tough make "cakettes"! Yeppers. Pineapple Upside-Down Cakettes in a jar..

First, we wanted to first thank all of you for your kind words, gracious thoughts and wonderful messages about Bones. We, as a family, thank you...

OK, so back to the cakettes - I even enlisted the help of Mr. B (actually, he volunteered )

We made 36 jar cakes and had enough batter to make 2 small cakes for the house. For us. Not for the house per Se...

Isn't he going to make the BEST Santa eVEr!!??

After I spilled, dribbled and misjudged the amounts, he got an ice cream scoop and waddaya know? Worked like a charm!

You have to work fast when they come out to pop the seals on then tighten the rings -then it just waiting for the "Ping"!
Can yo hear that?? They're ping-ing!!!! I'm no canner-type-person, but I've been told that's how you know it's sealed...

The cake seemed to be separating a little from the fruit, so, in honor of it's name...we turned them...UpSideDown!
Aren't they just the cutest little things EvEr??
How fun would this be at a dinner party to serve these little babies to individuals, complete with a little whipped cream garnish, or some mint leaves or....ohmygosh...a tiny umbrella!!
Moist, fresh, fun and totally portable! Love 'em! Next week, though, it's diet coke cake in them!

Sorry Lulu, puppies cannot have cake ..

Braxton was exhausted and tired of waiting...so he camped out in his one-of-many-favorite beds..this one in the kitchen..

Sweet dreams Braxie & Lu...Santa's coming soon and bringing toys, and squeaky men, and ropes and treats just for you!

Have a safe and warm tomorrow, my friends :-)

The first desert i made for my
